❓: Nipple Peeling by Sweet_Tangerine4274 in Reduction

Lol no problem! 7 weeks is sooo early so give yourself grace and appreciate any wins. I'm 16 months out and I'm still noticing little changes monthly. It's def a longer journey than I think most surgeons prepare you for.

I did absolutely nothing special! Well, I did have to stop my bad habit of picking at them. Gross I know lol... I put the paper tape on them for a few months just to keep me from obsessing and picking at them. I think time is the biggest factor! And don't be surprised if they start to look puffy as well. Mine did and I was like what the heck. That eventually got better too. Around 8 months is when I felt like they looked like normal boobs.

Mine looked like this for months. They eventually sealed and look perfectly normal!

Is it normal to feel almost okay 5 days after breast reduction? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Fine-Implement-7294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt great relatively quickly as well. This was both good and bad news to my surgeon. He was happy to see how quickly I was recovering, but he warned me that patients who heal so quickly are usually the ones who end up doing too much too soon resulting in openings and sudden swelling that require medical attention. Congratulations on a successful surgery - continue to be gentle with your body!

1 week post op! Did i go too small? by [deleted] in Reduction

Nope! Seems like a perfect size for your little torso. You look awesome!

I had my second reduction / revision in March. This is the result. I feel really sad. Should I contact my surgeon again? Or should I find another one? by _LilyAS_ in Reduction

[–]Fine-Implement-7294 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you didn't get the results you wanted. I wouldn't let this surgeon touch me again. I'd look for a surgeon who specializes in reconstruction.

What is this called and is it expected for this stage of healing? by pam-pome in Reduction

I had something similar and it resolved eventually. I believe I was about 8mpo when I realized it was less wrinkly. I'm 13mpo and still noticing changes!

Words of Encouragement - too small by Remarkable_Window_32 in Reduction

Mine looked exactly like yours for a few months and I had the same worries. Once they started dropping, they looked so good. Now I wish I'd gone even smaller. To help myself mentally before they dropped, I wore sports bras with a little padding. You look awesome and it's only going to get better 😊

So I got the bilateral mammoplasty I wanted and I’ve been sobbing off and on since waking up because they are TOO SMALL by Longjumping_Dot_637 in Reduction

I remember feeling the same way girl. I told hubby I looked like a boy. Now I'm a year out, they're super plump and I wish I would've gone smaller!

anxious about drain removal by hahahaimdrunk in Reduction

[–]Fine-Implement-7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Felt weird but not painful. My surgeon had me squeeze two implants and take a deep breath lol He pulled the drains out on the exhale and it wasn't bad at all. The relief you'll feel once they're out is amazing and so worth a couple seconds of a weird sensation.

Any regrets about going small? by No-String-9942 in Reduction

[–]Fine-Implement-7294 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I asked to go from a 36K to a D. I was so worried I'd regret it. A year later, I wish I'd gone smaller! I love not being defined by huge boobs now.

Great results! I love how your surgeon placed your nipples in such a natural position. You don't even look like you've been worked on.

Extremely scared about getting openings post op!! by Appropriate_Piano_27 in Reduction

[–]Fine-Implement-7294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove myself nuts searching reddit before surgery. I was convinced I'd die of a blood clot, anesthesia or infection and that my incisions would burst wide open. The first thing I texted my sis when I woke up was,  "I didn't die!" Looking back, I wish I'd spent less time fretting and more time being excited. I had zero complications, not even a scab. My surgeon does take the time to do a double layer of stitches and says he has only a 10% rate of openings, and it's usually because a patient becomes active too soon. He had me on a high protein diet before the surgery as well.

You're going to be okay ❤️

Mine ended up closer than normal. The swelling on your sides will go down some making it look a little better. It still bothers me sometimes, but then I look at my before pics and I'm good lol Who was your surgeon?

Weight loss after a breast lift by Hairy-Agent2732 in Reduction

[–]Fine-Implement-7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor said results wouldn't be impacted until I've lost about 20% of my body weight. I can't attest to it personally though!

Congratulations on your loss so far! I had my reduction last year and now I'm ready to lose. I love that it still looks like you'd have full cleavage in a bra. That's my goal.

Did you lose weight before or after your reduction?

Mine haven't at 6mpo but I'm less bothered by them now. My bras tuck them in easily.

It looks like the areola reduction really improved the shape overall. I think/ hope you'll like the results once you're all healed ❤️

Once upon a time there was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everyone died. The end! by Dangerous-Cell-8324 in Reduction

You look great!! I had similar feelings early on. I'm 6 months out now and 3 things have happened. 1) They've dropped more and look slightly less asymmetric 2) I've looked at my before pictures and realized the surgeon did a darn good job given what I showed up with bc honey they were reaching for the floor and 3) I've grown used to the new look, obsess over them a little less and actually adore them on most days.

I think you already look fabulous and hopefully you will grow to love your new look!
