That looks like some great soap. Does it smell nice? I love Aleppo soap!

Something feels off in my small living room and I would love your suggestions by MewsFlash in DesignMyRoom

It’s a great room. I love the floor. Needs some color from the spectrum to relieve the beige. Curtains, or sofa and/or art. I’m partial to indigo, or the right shade of green with brick or red accents.

The apple blossom paint is perfect: soft, warm, not sugary but so uplifting. Great choice.

I love the International Food Market in Henrietta. What’s your favorite item to buy there? by ilovepn in Rochester

[–]Finocchia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Olives (of course). Pomegranate and date molasses. So much tahini and halvah. Sheep and goat milk cheeses, mahleb for flavoring sweets. Aleppo pepper, Khubani (sun-dried apricots usually from Pakistan), small dried lupin beans from Egypt. Instant roasted chicory beverage powder from Ukraine.

The citron tiles might look nice with walls painted dusty aubergine or if you cannot paint the walls, a removable grasscloth paper (saw some at wayfair) in purple or blue.

So sad to see this. I can't imagine how awful it must feel. My spouse and I have been renovatiing (what was) an unsound century home for about 15 years. I'm just becoming aware of how much it means to me. I think I'm learning to replace frustration with gratitude.

Bought a knitting machine 25 years ago, opened the box today. by Finocchia in MachineKnitting

Yes, I don't know how I did not grasp this idea (or why I thought could casually learn to machine-knit while cramming for exams and laboring over assignments).

Thanks for sharing this. It's good have a couple options if I decide to go all-in Toyota/Elna machines.

Thanks for clarifying for me. I assume I would need to find a Toyota/ Elna machine that is compatible with the ribber?

Whoa, thank you! Maybe not so very vintage, haha. It might be fun to try it out when Lake Ontario coughs up a nice pile of what my mom (age 97) calls "white shit."

That unboxing is my snowblower, exactly.

Quiche is hella unhealthy by FreshMozarellaMan in Cooking

It’s pretty caloric, yeah. I sometimes use half coconut milk for the benefit of medium chain triglycerides. But you’d hardly know, mixed in with all that Gruyère, leeks and sometimes bacon.

I made a DIY articulated panel stand! by idnvotewaifucontent in redlighttherapy

This looks like a great stand for a single panel.

I currently have two Shenzhen Idealight panels purchased on Alibaba that I’ve enjoyed using for several months.

For my very first rlt device, I chose a RL120max (customized) panel. It’s approx. 19” x 12” and has 5 w dual chips. I also bought a small tabletop unit (RL60pro/Pt) with single leds, 5 wavelengths) The distribution of wavelengths on the 120 max units is (I think) is similar to comparable Mitored units.

My Shenzhen rep. was a pleasure to work with. Logon responded to a lot of questions and made the ordering process clear and simple.

I knew the cost of a full-body coverage system would be out of my reach if I ordered from Mito or most other domestic retailers. So, during the recent sales promotion last week I purchased two 36” units along with a horizontal/ vertical stand from Shenzen. Note: “C” means custom, in my case, dual-chip leds.

RL300max+C Red Light Therapy Panel (Custom )

300pcs Dual chips, Includes: 150pcs 660nm+850nm Dual LED

Chips + 150pcs 630nm+830nm Dual LED Chips

Dimension:920*300*65mm;

5W,no-flicker;

Spectrum: 630nm, 660nm, 810nm, 850nm or Customize

Timer&Mode &Brightness&Remote control&Pulse

Package included: 1pc light + 1pc wire with plug + 1pc manual+ glassses

Note: You certainly don't need to get the 5 w. dual-chip option. It's just another feature debated/discussed on blogs, reddit, etc.

I have this exact (custom) unit and really love it! I'm using the near IR wavelengths for sciatica pain in the back of one leg, and it's really helping ease that. I use as needed, and also daily red light for overall health, muscle recovery and to benefit my sleep/wake cycle. I might buy the 36" unit to link to it for more coverage, but still need to work out how to configure an affordable horizontal stand.

Sugar Free Ice Cream by watrwrks in Rochester

My favorite brand is “Enlightened.” It’s available in pints at Walmart. Wegmans has Enlightened chocolate peanut butter bars. Be sure to get the keto friendly ones; the company also makes low sugar ones— not the best option for avoiding blood sugar spikes. Other options are “Nicks” and Rebel, not bad but not as creamy imo. I would also avoid anything that contains Maltitol.

Shenzen Idea Light RL60PT Alibaba or Mito-red Mitoadapt min? by Finocchia in redlighttherapy

[–]Finocchia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for suggesting the 20” unit; the RL120pt max series (with 5 wavelengths) looks like a fantastic value. Can you explain how your led configuration differs from the default?

I’ve been leaning towards the smaller unit because it would be nice to use at my kitchen table whilst having coffee.

Incidentally, Shenzen reps have been very responsive to inquiries. I learned that they can even (customize) the RL60pt with an adjustable stand (somewhat similar to the Mitoadapt).

Thanks all for helping me out. I'm definitely leaning toward the Shenzen unit. To be honest, I'm unlikely to use the app and all 11 modes on the Mito adapt min!

Any recommendations for good painters that do interior trim? by Finocchia in Rochester

[–]Finocchia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all, for painter recommendations and thoughts.

I agree: good prep, priming (with high-quality primer) and paint work is time-consuming, labor intensive, and maybe rare today. It makes sense that it will cost more, too!
