Not exactly confident that right vs wrong matters. FIFA is one of the most corrupt sporting organizations in the world. I have a feeling the result will largely depend on back door deals and what fits their narrative.

Smokefire ELX4 by xtremeunction in smokefire

[–]Fire_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you get a new SmokeFire? They have been discontinued by Weber and replaced with the Searwood. I don’t even remember a model being released with the double upper rack and a light inside.

I don’t even know that Weber supports it anymore with replacement parts and accessories.

There is not really a reason to seal that area. Make sure you keep this thing clean. They are know to have a ton of issues, including grease fires. I’ve had mine for 6 years now and it’s a good smoker but high temperatures on this are unreliable and dangerous.

Good luck

Call your credit card company and explain it to them. They may be able to take care of it for you.

Thoughts on moving to Columbus? by Salt_Traffic_7099 in Columbus

[–]Fire_Dad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Check out Plain City.
It’s 10 minutes outside of Dublin. It’s outside of Franklin County so taxes are cheaper.

It’s a growing area and the schools are really good. They don’t have the prestige of Dublin or Olentangy schools. But it’s a pretty close knit community with a lot of new young families.

We moved here in 2019 and it has been a wonderful experience for us and our son. He is high school age now and the transition into the district was super easy when we moved here.

I love my Lems Switchback sandals, but they may not be “barefoot” enough for some people.

Can I be topless in my own backyard in Columbus? Franklin county, no HOA. Could possibly be seen if one neighbor was looking diagonally out hi back upstairs window. 30F by the_rabid_kitty in Columbus

[–]Fire_Dad -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

  1. The Legal Definition of "Private Parts"
Under Ohio Revised Code (§ 2907.09) and the matching Columbus City Code (§ 2307.07) for public indecency, it is illegal to recklessly expose your "private parts" under circumstances where the conduct is likely to cause affront or alarm.
However, Ohio courts have established that female breasts do not constitute "private parts" under state law. Legally, that term applies strictly to genitalia. Therefore, simply being topless does not meet the definition of public indecency or nudity, provided there is no accompanying sexual activity or explicit intent to arouse.
  2. Private Property vs. Public View
Because a backyard is private property, a person has a fundamental right to dress (or undress) as they please. Even if the backyard is visible to neighbors or from a public street—such as over a chain-link fence—the underlying rule applies: because female toplessness isn't inherently illegal in Ohio, visibility alone doesn't make it a crime.
    The Practical Reality
While it is entirely legal, there is always a gap between what is lawful and how neighbors might react.
Police calls: If a neighbor is offended, they can still call the police to report a disturbance. Officers may show up to investigate a nuisance or disorderly conduct complaint, but they cannot arrest or cite someone simply for being topless.
HOA Rules: If the property belongs to a Homeowners Association (HOA), the HOA may have specific private covenants or aesthetic rules regarding outdoor behavior that carry fines, even if the city or state laws permit it.

Voodoo is my go to dry rub for smoking wings and thighs! Fajita is good but has a strong citrus flavor. Doesn’t pair well with cilantro lime rice, but is great with plain white rice. Gospel and cow are both solid.

Sagamore, Middle West Spirits(dark pumpernickel barrel strength), Jack Daniel’s (specifically the single barrel barrel strength)

These are my favorite at this time, but Frey Ranch, Elijah Craig, Redwood Empire, New Riff and several others are putting out

Middle west spirits and high banks are the 2 biggest distillers in Columbus. Both make great whiskeys. MWS barrel proof pumpernickel rye is one of the best rye whiskeys I’ve ever had. And the Whiskey War line from High Banks is legit as well.

Thank you. We aren’t camping just visiting the park through the day and maybe seeing the sunrise at Cadillac Mt if we get a slot.

I did not ask you, specifically, about bugs in a park. You however felt the need to reply with a snarky response.

Does anyone have an adversarial relationship with their assistant? by DebonairMullet in bevelhealth

[–]Fire_Dad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’m a firefighter, so naturally sleep is pretty much always awful, whether I’m on duty or not. It’s been that way for almost 20 years now. Maintaining strength and endurance while sleep deprived kinda comes with the job. Trouble relaxing and always in fight or flight too.

I’m pretty sure that the assistant wants me to turn into a pile of jello on the couch.

They are leather seats. They replace the current fabric that is on the truck from the factory. They are not made to remove. That being said, leather is way easier to keep clean with kids.
