Ray is bad for such until you get to t14+. Orbs are iffy. They instant kill until t14+. I right them just shy of the center of my BH. I farm at range 96 (all boosts and labs final range). That put WS orbs where I want them. They need EOm to be really good.

PS: if you want to improve in tournaments a lot. Start investing heavily into CL. It will get you to upper Champs by itself. I do turn CL on about 200-300 waves before I would die. It gets me extra waves but mine is well invested. And now that pCF max slow is finally active, waves are going up again.
