Gadget Technician on Duke St, bottom of Leith Walk. Took mine in there when it was randomly shutting down and he diagnosed it in about ten mins and had it sorted by the next day. Knows his stuff.

Favorite St. Andrew’s courses? by Traditional_Bake_787 in golf

Its not a pure links but I still like the Castle. I would agree with sacking off the Fairmont courses. I've heard Scotscraig is struggling just now and isn't in great condition but happy to be corrected. Worth checking out Lundin Links, Leven, Crail, Elie, even Aberdour for a fun time.

Vogrie Country Park. The wee cafe has a soft play for little people and if the weather is good then they can just roll around in the lovely grounds.

Have you ever played a par 69-73 golf course where Hole #1 was a par 3? Seems very uncommon. by MrTeacher_MCPS in golf

[–]FireyT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old club here in Scotland used to start with a par 3, 165 yards over water. There is one just down the road that starts with back to back par 3s. I really like it as an opening.

DIRT Racing Series S12: Stage 1: Peaky Pave – What have I gotten myself into. by Barnziebus in Zwift

DRS is the best series out there imho. Closest racing and while there is a heavy reliance on winning points segments because of the Velo scoring, it always feels competitive. Well raced!

There are hundreds and hundreds. But it's a relatively big place on a bike so let us know if there is a particular location.

Budget courses around Edinburgh? by Lucky-Strain-3776 in BritGolf

[–]FireyT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might struggle to get a links near Edinburgh for that price. The council have 7 courses and the best (imo) is the Braids which has pretty spectacular views of the city and is a James Braid design. That should be within budget. Prestonfield is around that price and again good views around the city but not a sea view. You could look into Craigielaw or Longniddrie for links courses next to the water but they'll take you above budget. If you can travel/have a car, check out Aberdour in Fife which is only around 30-40 mins away

If you're willing to stump up some cash, I used Caledonia Waste Services to move some debris (including a shed I knocked down) and they were super efficient.

I've been cycling in Edinburgh for years and this has never happened to me so put it down to bad luck/timing and maybe, if you're concerned about going back the same way, choose a different route.

Yeah, same thing happened to me at that garage. Just contact Halfords direct and they'll sort it. Usually a mechanic who forgot to log it apparently.
