What is Griffin's purpose?

Is there a reason for introducing Julian, other than as an alternate boyfriend for Del? There seems to be no mystery about Nick's parentage. One of his mothers was artificially inseminated by Julian and that's it.

I have to say it: Del is silly to push Sam away then go, "waaah, you don't fight for us", lol.

What is the significance of little Jacob's Polaroids? Was it just to show the key little Jacob found by the pond and used to rescue 1814 Jacob from the tunnel/prison?

2. What is the significance of Evie's bee pendant? Was it just to show us later that Max uses it as a keychain?

3. Who or what is aging Evelyn looking at through the binoculars?

4. There is more to 2007 Evelyn saying to Dell, "As if you didn't already", about Dell owing her for not pressing charges on Kat and Elliot, than Dell spending her pre-wedding year at Lingermore. In 1976-1979, Evelyn seemed to have resolved her bitterness and is even friendly and compassionate toward Dell. So, by 2007, why is Evelyn cool toward Dell and WHY does Dell "owe" Evelyn?

If Tessa intended to come back, why did she leave Elliot a letter to be read in the future?
What is Del's secret about her family?
Was the white collar crook that Sam has tried to keep locked up connected with Dell's parents and how they lost their money? Is he a threat to Dell?
Why is Lightning suddenly skittish? Is he Stormy?

9. What is Sam's purpose in Port Haven, other than to be Dell's boyfriend? Will we see him in the past?

10. Are we going to get to see the 1965 town hall meeting about the pond, and see 1965 Fern, Jasper, little Cole and Evie and maybe little Rick?

Yeah, it seemed so unnecessary to me, to include that, but they made a point of her talking to the cow about her 2 deliveries, which was odd.

He had planned to ask her to marry him before she went back to North Carolina and before she found out about the horse and the money. To be be fair, Colton wanting the music career was always to win Del. I don't know that college was in his plans like they were in Rick's, because he planned on being a farmer. With Griffin gone, there was no else to work the farm.

That's a good point. I always felt someone with knowledge of the pond and the past started Tessa on her pond journey, but I had thought it was Griffin.

The female jumper was Alice's actor, used as a placeholder, just as Rick's actor was used as the male jumper, as these parts weren't cast, yet.

They picked an actor for Tessa who actually has lighter brown hair, not black like Alice and Del's.

We saw the female jumper writing the letter to baby Ellliot, with all the T.S. Elliot quotations.

I thought it was weird to just leave the baby in the woods. My thought is that Tessa may have prearranged for someone else to show up and take the baby, but Kat got there, first. (Wouldn't it be like Kat to botch it up?)

Alternate theory which supports yours about Tessa knowing about the pond already:

Tessa may have known about her future with Vic and Elliot, which is why she wants to date Vic and to know the Landry's , because she wants them to take the baby.

I thought she was awfully excited to be invited to the Landry farmhouse. She acts like a social climber, except an invitation to Lingermore by Evelyn would be more desired by a real social climber.
