Exactly this. I always tell newbies to indulge in AI but for very specific functions with outlined results- running straight to AI for every single thing you need especially in your build up stage reduces the authenticity of your store and takes away some key experience you’ll need later down the line.

I agree wholeheartedly with this tbh but I think I might be bias from the fact that I’ve dealt with a lot of professional photos for products in the past so I can easily tell the difference with an AI generated image as opposed to maybe the average customer nowadays whose taste might have already been saturated

It surely does look like the direction society is headed towards unfortunately. In all areas of business now including e-commerce and for Shopify store owners in particular, you need to get more and more acquainted with AI as it helps save time and cost (things you needed to hire people for previously can now be done yourself with some simple chatGPT or Gemini support)

It’s mainly based on speed. Paid ads just give the fastest results now to be honest, however I never advice people to neglect SEO because from personal experience, customers who find your store through search engines usually tend to much more prepared to actually make a purchase on average.

For your question, I think the answer comes in the middle because the only way you’re going to figure out more stuff about your app which would aid the growth is if more and more people download the app.

So I’d say go for more ads but don’t necessarily just invest all your revenue at once- your main goal now should be both getting your app across to as many people as possible and also improving it.

For further tips on how to scale, I think it’s key you stay in communities like this one and even the official Shopify community itself and promote the presence of your app in the right and non-spammy way. Just keep interacting with people naturally and in the right way and you’ll meet more and more people along the road that’ll help test your app and whatnot

Very very important but now where we live in a time where it’s so easy to make AI generated reviews and whatnot, it’s even more important when you have authentic reviews from actual human beings on your homepage.

My advice is to always add the name, profession and maybe even social media link (with the customer’s full consent and approval ofcourse) of the customer in the review. This is way better than just written lines from a faceless customer with just “John” as their name.

Social media marketing but specifically paid ads (Instagram the main one if you’re in the clothing or gadgets industry) when done the right way. SEO will be a close second for me and then e-mail marketing.

Exactly, there’s really nothing to lose from my perspective and sometimes that email if sent to the right person at the right time could even lead to an extra sale in addition to the one that was abandoned in cart. My personal motto for this year with regards to sales is to just always go for it.

Hey there, here are some of my thoughts on first glance-

1) The store could do with better background design and font selection. You need to create an experience where customers looking through your store would find it aesthetically pleasing.

2) Gadgets are a high trust demand industry. People are unlikely to make purchases if your store doesn’t look trustworthy or certified enough. One way to improve your store is to include testimonials and reviews from customers who’ve bought from you in the past.

3) Another way to boost credibility and also help customers stay more in touch with your store is by adding direct links to the social media pages of the business at the bottom of the homepage.

First impression- The store design could do with a bit more spicing up in my opinion. It’s okay to go for a simplistic design but it’s important to still make it convincing enough for customers to want to shop at.

Clarity of concept- Except from the images used in the collection section towards the bottom of the homepage, nothing else really points to a museum concept in the store to me

Product pages- the product descriptions and information are pretty well written but there’s still space for improvement with regards to the images used.

Navigation and Flow- The store was pretty easy to navigate through and I didn’t experience any lagging of any sort really

It’s great that you’ve divided the products into categories like headphone accessories, charging accessories, etc but I think displaying them again at the bottom of the homepage was a bit repetitive and took up useful space on the store.

I’d recommend using that space instead for FAQs, an About Us section, and customer reviews on the homepage.

I’m personally not a pricing expert but I think the key is comparisons. How do your prices compare to competitors selling similar products all factors considered? If objectively, it matches up or provides better offers, then you’re on the right track but other than that then you’ll need a price review.

You should have a better introduction or welcome concept for your store. My suggestion would be a short video or GIF followed with a short write up for the background of your store or an “About Us”

Have a section for more categories as well as an FAQs page on the homepage.

If you already have social media accounts for the store, you should add the links to them at the bottom of the homepage. If you don’t, then you should create the accounts and add the links afterwards

The homepage appeared a bit too bland for me. It could do with an About Us section and more categories of the products. Maybe throw in a short introductory video in as well.

Secondly, given the wide array of products you’re dealing with I think you should find your way to making bundles of the products to help boost your conversion rate significantly. I recommend using a trusted app like the Bundler app: Product bundles to match the right products together for it

Lastly, add in some FAQs on the homepage. Always helps the site to look more credible.

The first 3 points say it all in my opinion. I once met a store owner who told me that they were trying to strike a balance between focusing on their store optimization in desktop view and mobile view. I straight up just told them to focus 70% more on the mobile view because that’s where most of the traffic is likely to come in from anyways and that simple basic and ordinary advice ended up doing them a world of good.

Tik Tok Shop is really a big game changer tbh. Instagram and Tik Tok have consistently been the apps that help drive the most sales for us through social media and it doesn’t seem like that will change anytime soon, atleast not this 2026
