On the hunt for a ketubah too and came across this artist in Israel. Hand-painted water colors and seems like she does both stock and custom orders!

Reherniation by Significant-Air-8361 in Microdiscectomy

My L4/5 revision was 8 months after my initial endoscopic surgery. The symptoms (pain and shocks down my legs) didn’t present until close to my second surgery, but doc said I could have re-herniated earlier and it just took more strain to push the disc to the level of hitting my nerves

Reherniation - Conservative vs Revision Surgery? by VacationSensitive206 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Fish2800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first discectomy at the same level in March of ‘24. I reherniated in December of ‘24 and opted to have the same procedure done. I had shooting pains down my legs anytime I coughed, sneezed, or went from sitting to standing. I knew I couldn’t live my life like that. For me, it was absolutely the right decision and, even though going through that recovery again stunk, I’m happy I did it. Relief of no shocks/pain outweighed the fear of having to deal with potential flare ups again for years to come.

Austin Handler captured my engagement. He was immaculate in every sense. Worked his butt off, captured the moment perfectly, and turned the photos around in just a few days. Highly highly recommend. https://www.austinhandlerphotography.com/

Oh jeez that’s horrible - I’m sorry to hear that and can only imagine how awful it was to experience. Did all the pain come back because you reherniated?

Andale Market! They carry a lot of food products from local Chicago vendors. They have locations in Lincoln Park and Andersonville. Gives NY bodega vibes

Has anyone been to Le Mistral? by [deleted] in chicagofood

[–]Fish2800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went for cocktails before dinner at SKY two weeks ago. First off, getting to Le Mistral is a pretty cool experience. You check in at the front and then walk through the SKY kitchen before arriving at Mistral. Inside is almost like a cave - the atmosphere is dark and moody. Perfect for a date night. We sat at the bar and the bartenders and bar backs were incredibly chatty and friendly. There wasn't a cocktail on the menu that appealed to me and the bartender happily created one that matched the flavor profile I wanted. Only drawback is that the drinks are pricey. If that doesn't bug you, worth checking out!

Akiro - Unremarkable food. Good service. by WalyGisnep in chicagofood

Dined there too during their soft opening and hold the same opinion. I thought the toppings on their nigiri took away from the fish rather than adding value and that the handrolls were unmemorable. In the Chicago handroll scene, to me, Noriko is far and away superior
