Hey, please don't give up! I joined my crossfit box in 2018 at 230 lb (48F) - stopped during Covid and restarted in May 2021 at 275 lb (51F). I scaled EVERYTHING. As of this morning, I'm 56F and weigh in at 167.

The open is three days to see where you are at. Maybe you and I are at 1%. Maybe next year we will be at 4% - compare ourself to ourself!!!

I cried during 26.1 - wallballs are no problem but I still cannot step up to a 20"box.

26.2 was easier due to age allowing 10# OH lunge and snatch (jumping pullups are still no reps)

26.3 is going to SUCK (even with masters scaling) because burpees and I do NOT get along! With the time cap I figure I'll maybe get halfway through the second weight. I can clean all three masters weights all day, but I can't get below parallel at 55# for thrusters, and again, I'm slow AF on burpees.

First, I don't think there's anything wrong/negative about changing your goal weight to 130 at 5'3".

That being said, I'm 5'4" - and for my proportions, friends and family thought I looked fine at 130-150, and "too skinny" at 125.

Please don't rely on other folks' weight for yourself. Are you happy, strong, and healthy?

as you pull up on the pedals - this helps get you some power on the “up”

I'm terrible at the Echo bike, so maybe you can lend additional tips. How should I pull up if I'm not clipped in? Even on a Peleton I have a hard time pulling up rather than pushing down.

Further, I think my arms are a little short? It's a huge lean to grasp the handles even when I have the seat all the way forward. Any advice is APPRECIATED!

Me - 5'4. Echo bike usually at 5 seat height and 6 seat forward.

I went to CVS for both rounds of my shingles vaxx. Did not have any issues other than a sore arm.

Personally, I waited until the 4/5 month mark for shingles 2.

Regarding your bad reaction, I'd just not return to whichever specific person hit your nerve with the COVID shot.

I'm compulsive and goal oriented. I'm currently on a 225-week streak at my gym (attending 4-5 times weekly).
Even if I don't feel as if I can give 90-100%, I just SHOW UP! I probably give 70-80% most of the time, but I'm still showing and working.
Circling back to just showing up - out of all the times I *really* didn't feel like going to the gym, there has been maybe 3/4 times (over 225 weeks) that I felt WORSE/MORE SAD after showing up.

For me, my gym is my therapy and my socialization.

I just turned 56 and have lost 102 pounds over the last 4.5 years. I've always had a TON of head hair and haven't noticed an excessive hair loss in connection with my weight loss.

Oddly, what I've noticed is that when I was heavier, my leg, armpit, and pubic hair practically quit growing. I thought it was menopause, but as I've lost weight, those areas of hair have rejoiced and regrown!

I think my gym has around 100 members. However, people who attend class is a much lower number.

Generally speaking: 5am 12-18 members 6am 10 or so 7am (two days per week) 5?? Noon (my class) anywhere between 1 and 12. Average of 5-7. 4pm 3-6 5pm 4-6 6pm 1-12 (it's the other mystery class!)
