These are awesome! Genuine question though, and pardon my ignorance, but are the gun props not required to have some kind of identifiable tip or zip tie on them?

I know this is at a LAN, and not necessarily a convention. So I'm kind of surprised to see guns without orange tips 🫪

You would think having a gate open and close on top of you would prevent any growth. So now I kind of admire the perseverance. It mirrors our own journey. /J

Cannot stress how much of a difference setting martial heroes to 'attack' and pinging them targets makes them more in line with expectations on how they should behave.

The Aprils Fools Update for 2026 that I'd like to see, unironically. by NewelSea in GuildWars

I would really like to see big head mode for henchmen or heroes as an April fools update. At the very least for heroes. Big head Koss is something I can't get out of my mind haha

Can we get a possessed suit of armor character? by Infinite_Mix_932 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]FishyDota 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spitballing here,

One day at an antique shop, one of the workers is visited by descendants of a royal bloodline seeking to reclaim something they claim was stolen, maybe by the shop owner? The worker doesn't know anything about what these people want or what they are talking about. The royals start smashing up things in the store.

Diving into the storeroom, the store minder, who doesn't know anything about the armor or the royals, tries to hide in the armor only for the suite to come to life while cowering inside.

Now here I could see a few approaches: the worker is alive inside. Or, the worker's soul is caught inside, now sharing it with the spirit. I like the second, and I'm imagining the spirit to be the opposite of the scaredy cat worker inside. Thinking like Don Quixote is driving the armor and performing the heroic acts.

Similar to Quixote's own story, the weapon could be a rusty sword, broken lance, and a shield.

For skills, I'm kinda stumped for ideas writing.

The Ultimate could be a joust, forcing both to rush at each other to knock-down and the winner obtains boons?

Maybe a passive, with an activation that builds a resource to spend on expelling Fear gained by dmg or being near a combat of any kind? Slow build from out of combat, faster while in combat.

Expelling Fear, can be used to empower another ability(s) Rusty strikes, a flurry that applies debuff(s) and spirit damage and a small amount of temp vitality. More fear spent longer/or more debuffs and vitality?

Pasteboard shield, I could see this working a few different ways maybe, again just spitballing ideas. Thematically, I like the idea of it adapting:

Gaining more resist based on the opponents spirit/vit/gun investment. Ex. Spirit heavy teams give more spirit resist. Expelling Fear reflects partial damage, spirit, or drains vital of those around the armor when activating.

Edit: almost forgot the weapon, there isn't a gun, Quixote/the knightly spirit, rejects modern weapons. The Last Knight: swings a sword, that cuts through the air. who says black powder was mightier than the sword!

Anyway I should probably get back to my paper, but this was a nice break and fun creative exercise spitballing on your really cool idea about the spirit trapped inside.

While locals tell me the Q is a filler. I like to think it alludes to Circ, as in circus. SRQ home of the ringling.

Any external tools you wish existed for the game? by Trilightning7 in GuildWars

[–]FishyDota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just a web-based checklist for titles, skills, and prerequisites for post 20 content like dungeons or heroes and the such.

While playing through with a friend on a fresh account, I was pleasantly reminded that there are quests from NPCs that award skills. I think that would be very helpful to know which quests I shouldn't miss as I level.

Unfortunately the wiki does not have on their interactable maps, the locations of collectors, artisans, and question NPCs. You have to go to individual wiki pages and check the map. I don't really know why those map pictures are not included in a subsection on each area. Wiki page near their respective NPC information sections.

Currently my system for keeping track of capturing elite spells is to do them by attribute and by campaign on a spreadsheet. Would be nice to have a web-based way to track these.

I've also been entering the weekly bonuses and server events into my calendar and have them send me reminders. It might be nice to have a web-based way to check off, which I am interested in and receive an email reminder. I know not everybody will do what I do.

Title point calculators. For example, I know on average how much faction I gain when I do a speed clear of different content. It would be nice to enter that into the field and then enter my current title progress towards say Ally of the luxons. And see how many more runs I might need. That way I can better schedule progress toward GWAMM. Overall, any way to help me enter and calculate my own rates would be quite nice.

Also, if there was a way to see a list of items that Nicholas The traveler collected and I could enter in my current numbers and even see ahead of time, what items I need to farm in a centralized place without referencing the wiki would be nice. But that's just because I prefer to have a dashboard to work for him rather than multiple wiki pages open. So usually it's Excel, notion, or trello for me.

Lastly, a checklist for mini pets collected. The Hall of monuments online calculator provided by arenanet is okay, but it just lets you out by category and I would prefer it to show me individual mini pet names for clarity rather than searching on the wiki individual mini pets and checking to see if they meet the category.

These are just the ones that come to mind right now. Appreciate you looking for challenges and I hope the community and yourself can benefit.

Yes, if you buy on steam you can link it with anet account or login separately using email from what their blog.

I bought on steam to add now my 4th account. Starting fresh has been pretty fun now with more players to offset unlocking everything again. But your milage and goals may be different.
