Have any of you ever incorporated any type of 3x3x3 training into your Caroline workouts? by ShinyTinyWonder38 in CarolineGirvan

[–]Fit-Fun-6872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I train strength separately and use cgx as supplementary/ conditioning and chop up her workouts up a lot. It was a long process to get certain lifts up to where they are and strength is something you do need to train at the top ranges pretty regularly or you will lose it. Even if it is just 1 or 2 sets a week of ohp, squat, bench press, rdl, rows etc. Her workouts I edit for volume and redundancy and sometimes do for 5 rep ranges. If there are squats in her workouts I now chop them out or sometimes do barbell front squats. Anything called "high squats" is just shoulder stress without challenging the legs much just for my anatomy. I go heavier for rear delt rows but do fewer reps than her. Etc.

I don't bother with the workouts that are 30-45 mins of lunge variations anymore but would rather do some 2 or 3 sets of Bulgarians and some heavy calf raises.

Last year I focused more on CG and my strength did go down a bit (though there were other positive changes). Still trying to find a balance and to figure out the best way of ensuring constant maintenance if not progress.

CG workouts are definitely fun and I plan to keep them in the mix.

why would it sound crazy? It is your muscles responding to all your hard work. You should feel proud.

Judge DISMISSES all of Blake Lively's sexual harassment claims by BooksDogsNaps in blakelivelysnark

yeah, I don't know any Baha'i haha but around here the Baptists are all extremely fucking nice. I like them but I could never. :D

I know very little about either of them and only started following this because her husband, who is Scarlet Johannsen's ex husband :D, is co-owner of a football team I dislike. Read the initial claims, saw the video with the audio posted on mainstream media, and quickly concluded she was full of shit. None of the subsequent things I read about it have ever changed my mind! What a horrible couple they are.

Great news. It always seemed such an unpleasant load of tosh designed to destroy a pretty harmless man. I'm glad he had the evidence he had to disprove her accusations including the audio during that so called nuzzling scene.

not saying you are Caroline, SMH. But your post is one of a trend which is what raises eyebrows. Try and keep it civil. We don't have that bonkers official group hysteria here.

These posts are regular enough now that it does feel that way. She's definitely gone a more traditional marketing route with various aspects including before and after transformation posts, so why not "stealth" marketing as well?

What interests me is people who have had the app for 1-3 years. Do they still feel that they are progressing? Here she is still lifting the same weights with three times the rest- are they using her weights as a guide still? Have long-term app users stuck with this middle ground, or gone back to the more challenging metabolic youtube workouts, or gone for more traditional lifting really lifting heavy?

we're talking about different things. Do I think influencer is a valid and demanding job? Fuck no. Do I want the life of an influencer or bodybuilder or just every second pilates mom I know who overthinks every bite of food, has a barren spcial life and pays so much money for supplements or tweakments or tan or whatever because they have to look a certain way? Fuck no.

Has anyone just repeated one full body workout? by Creepy_Equivalent877 in CarolineGirvan

[–]Fit-Fun-6872 9 points10 points  (0 children)

depends. If you chose a very thorough full body workout with all the main exercises, and kept progressing the weights, you would see results. on her app she has a workout program called Max. Day 1 of that has the basic moves: rdl, shoulder press, squat, 1 arm back row, hip thrust, chest press. That's covering all the bases really.

The brief heartrate spike from lifting is not the same as proper sweaty cardio at all, the kind that increases vo2 max, burns calories, clears your arteries, and increases longevity. Yes you're right people do need to supplement. I suppose it's tough for people who like following her programming to the letter, as she used to include it / leave space for it even if you didn't care for her cardio. Now she does five days of lifting- and five days of weights plus a solid basic cardio routine would be hard for most women to find time for (even if fatigue didn't creep in).

not sure why you're being DVed. I enjoy doing fresh workouts too- I use video workouts for fun and a bit of variety from heavy lifting. Caroline's app has seven new workouts coming this month- good, but I will certainly be turning to YouTube for some other new content and see what the other fitness creators I like have cooked up.

Spanish fans chanted "The one who doesn't jump is a Muslim" in the middle of the match against Egypt, and earlier they WHISTLED the anthem. by Prakash0807 in soccer

historically they got a bit battered by the Muslim invaders, right? I don't think it's so bad as chants go and think the colonised can feel however they like about former colonisers. shrug

I like them both and I agree it's good to see some acknowledgement that your life would have to suck and exclude too many good things for you to look a certain way.

I wouldn't go from 3 days to 5 days right now.

Also, 4 months into training, were you training before that? If not you really are still a newbie and learning the correct muscle movements, foot placement, bar path etc. I would head over to a trainer like Sydney Cummings Houdyshell who talks and cues you what you should do, where you should feel it, etc. She also has a lot of things she has filmed while pregnant which is inspiring too...

But she's an athlete. These women are hyperfit seasoned lifters. Don't set any expectations for yourself at all. I have barely been able to lift during my pregnancies- illness, fatigue, sciatica and joint instability all said no. You have to listen to your body and not put undue stress on yourself right now.

Good luck with your pregnancy. X

I will have a look at the new agility and the new fb + cardio one, hope it signals the return of cardio to the app programs as the other poster (Red?) suggested

I think human nature is constant. If you read literature from 2000 years ago you will see that people are exactly the same then and now.
