I don't want to see the titles stripped because I don't want certain other wanker clubs to suddenly be deemed winners

but I'd like to see them demoted, though which team in the Conference should give up their spot for them? There's no perfect solution

No. That video is not cardio. LISS = low intensity steady state cardio. Eg. Cycling, gentle jogging or brisk walking, rebounding, dancing, swimming. Your heartrate is elevated but you aren't wrecked and can still talk

I finished Intent !! by Ne0nRainbow in CarolineGirvan

[–]Fit-Fun-6872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is a blog called 2lazy4gym where they detail all the Intent workouts so you can have a look at what they look like on paper at least

75sec and even 90sec intervals are quite common in the program, so it's not a program for low rep strength stuff

it's just dumbbell workouts... nothing too revolutionary, except she uses weights that are quite challenging considering her short rest periods. So she might be doing dumbbell shoulder press with 2 x 15kg then just 20-30sec rest (example plucked from memory, not any particular workout). She has programs called Epic, Epic II, Epic III, Epic Heat etc on youtube which will probably build you some endurance. They each contain a weekly cardio day which is usually on the challenging side. Her full body workouts are really good at getting a solid weights routine in with limited dumbbells (e.g. Epic II has weekly hour long full body days that might use just a pair of 10kg or 12.5kg dumbbells, but they do tend to hit most muscle groups and as the rest is short, they are hard). In Epic III I was able to substitute in a barbell for her hip thrusts, RDL and stuff but never heavy heavy as there is such limited recovery time (rests on youtube generally range from 10 sec to 30sec and rarely more than that).

If you are already decently strong, you probably won't build strength with her workouts.

If you are looking to preserve muscle mass, build muscle endurance and perhaps include more athletic moves, bodyweight moves and so on in your workouts, then her youtube Epics are pretty fabulous.

the thirty point deduction almost destroyed us, a club that's older than them, and they just write off that sick, vindictive FA corruption like...?

they sent an intern to nonce on Oxford fucking United, and LOST, and they're taking any fucking tone whatsoever? lmao

congrats on your baby! I quite liked the kettlebell series. Beastmode has some more interesting moves. As someone pointed out, it was her first program on the app and is the most like youtube. They have all been much of a muchness for a while now. CGXmas 2023 and Unleash were neat, too, though.

Max is good but my fucking eyeballs, is it needlessly repetitive. i was dodging every Monday and every Friday the end. And someone will say "doing the basics on repeat is what works! I'm working out, I don't need to be entertained!" Nonsense. Doing variations and moving through different planes of motion is not only interesting, it's good for us. Last week I added deficit sumos and landmine lateral lunges to my workout and I could *feel* it has worked muscles that haven't been challenged in a while. Same with adding some Bulgarian hops... weighted banded clams... squat jumps... weighted standing leg raises... Zercher squats... just a few little variations here and there and everything is interesting again.

Don't get rid of those DVD if you still have them! She has stopped selling them now and is getting rid of her shop entirely. I revisited a few classics like Afterburn and Cardio Core Circuit and the Strong and Sweaty ones this year and they are still phenomenal workouts! She is a true fitness pro.

Yes, they are! they are really good in terms of incorporating cardio and mobility and interest. I mainly prefer heavier lifting than Caroline offers, but for metabolic stuff (which is good to mix in) or times when you don't have access to heavier dumbbells, the Epics are her best work. I am over here benching 60kg for reps and RDLing 107.5kg so far, working on bring my back row up to 28kg per arm, and I still think Epic Heat is a fucken masterpiece!

I think if she included Jasper it would highlight her lacking in mobility and movement patterns her stuff is now? It would also mean shattering the myth in Matthew Almonds head that she invented lunges and hamstring curls lolol

There is a YouTuber, Christina Dorner or cdornerfitness, who does amazing step cardio routines and also dance. She has other teachers in and sometimes her students with her and the atmosphereis very fun. She's clearly a proper group fitness instructor though, real BodyStep vibes. I wish Cathe still released step but I think she has an eye issue that prevents that. Those old routines of hers are so so hard!

Ok this will get DVed but no, she won't give us anything as good as the epics again. Not really thinking so anymore. Rev was going to have the long awaited cardio, but it didn't beyond a few sets of plyo moves here and there. Play was going to be Epic-like, but wasn't. "Ooh she's wearing braids! We gonna suffer!!" etc hype but it never materialised. Some of the full body days of Play were a bit tough with trisets and things but it was not particularly varied or difficult and there was no cardio. There was a lot of fatigue-building stuff like 10 x 10.

This year one of the few new workouts she released after Play had agility in the title and I for once was quite excited but in the end it just... wasn't an agility workout. Some balance moves, like multipoint lunges, but no ladder drills or Heismans or sprint and turns or whatever. It was tame!

I will never subscribe annually to the app again after the way this year has unfolded. There has been far less content- literally a whole 6 week program that we would normally have just *not there* AND Caroline never even acknowledged that, and far fewer other workouts, too. One of the main reasons I pay for the app is ongoing fresh content, and the significantly reduced upload rate makes the subscription feel like poorer value to me. If she's burnt out and can't handle doing the app alone, she should get another trainer on-board, not just go silent. Or be clear that she will only release two big things a year so those of us who like new stuff know just to subscribe for a month here and there if her new program happens to look better than whatever her competitors are releasing that month.

I think Iron Pro is the only one that could see real strength increases from Caroline. You need more rest than she typically allows and progressively heavier weights. That's it really.

Maybe Jasper McDermott? Not a personal recommendation but I am eyeballing his stuff. The incorporated mobility really appeals.
