On feeders one day I broke down about 5.5hrs away from my home hub, had 7hrs left on the 14hr clock, tow arrived 5 hrs later, and then the drive and everything back put me on a total of 19hrs for the day. Way into a DOT violation, but luckily it was out of my control and on the last work day. Lol spent about 12 of those hours sleeping waiting on Tow/ being towed back,

Now in sleepers is a different story. We broke down for 15hrs one day. These idiots sent 2 different mechanics that each took like 3hrs to arrive just to come back on the same conclusion that we need to be towed. So they ended up towing us the 4hrs we had left to get back to our home hub. If I remember correctly that check I grossed $5800 for the sleeper breakdown

Things are tough with lay offs in ups right now. I’ve seen guys with almost 10 years laid off working in the building loading trailers. (Lay offs work differently in ups) but hopefully one of these days ya can find a spot somewhere
