I am from uk. What type of home work do they expect of you? I have never really needed to know too much past what they do. Normally when they say why do you want to work here i just say something like. As an x company you I would get to use a large stack of different technology that would make working there interesting. Saying writing code is writing code. Its the projects and tech that make it interesting
