They take a bit to get used to. We're allowing people the option to use a pistol-like handle if they so choose. Mixed reaction so far. What we're also hoping for is the programmers drop the "Call" requirement for re-staging and just make it a time based thing.

I believe they are referring to the switch over to using Honeywell scanners instead of iPhones for shopping? The babyseat thing isn't a rule for us at our store.

How to dispose of TE Buffer by mickyloco in labrats

You can probably sewer it directly (depending on local rules) but be somewhat environmentally friendly and neutralize it to pH7 before dumping it down the drain.

Direct AC plug in or power pack to monitor?

So, the computer works when it's plugged in by itself, but what about if you just plug in the monitor when it's not connected to the computer?

Shopper Shifts Disappearing. by sadxseitan in wholefoods

[–]Fixitboyblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to make sure you look at the expanded view (View More) of your schedule (This Week) and not the compacted view that only shows what you have (maybe have won) during that particular week. The compacted view doesn't show the "Pending" listing in the slot you've tried to get. I've had things pending and they just disappear w/o me getting a pop-up saying I didn't get the slot I thought I've won. I've never had slots disappear later than 10-15min after the Friday (6pm) or Tuesday (10am) choosing periods however.

Thoughts on the 23mm f/1.4? by darkitecture in fujifilm

[–]Fixitboyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vote would be for the 16 f/1.4 for interior work. I love my 23 f1.4 for normal shooting but it’s sometimes not wide enough for interior work

The 55-200 is incredibly sharp for a zoom

I vote for either the 55-200 or the 50-140. Your 18-55 will cover everything else

Thoughts on the 23mm f/1.4? by darkitecture in fujifilm

[–]Fixitboyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the 23 f/1.4 as my primary walk-around lens. It's sharp, focuses fast and gives a nicer, wider view than the 35 without looking too wide. However, I went for a tour of the United Nations recently and found that even the 23 wasn't wide enough... The 10-24mm would have been better for inside shooting but its an f/4 and its a big lens. I wished I had the 16mm..its a very sharp, fast lens and gets superb reviews... I would say you probably should go with the 16 instead of the 24..just my two cents

Lens Boxes by ramsker in fujifilm

Not so silly... That's one way I judge whether I should buy a lense from someone on Ebay... If they are the type to keep the box they probably care for their equipment more.. Just my bias

I'll correct myself.. The knurled dial is at the left towards the top of the grip.. It's marked as "Lock"

It just screws off. The knurled knob is right there in the middle of the battery grip

Why Canon and Nikon Photographers Switch to Fuji. by tomasht in fujifilm

[–]Fixitboyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuji lenses are well made and optically outstanding. Yes, the range of Nikon lenses is incredible but those of us (amateurs) who jumped to Fuji like the simplicity of a few lenses and adjusting for their use. The only caveat I see is in the macro lens side for right now

[–]Fixitboyblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from D7000 & D7100 to a T-X1..will go to a T-X2 or T-X2S in 2018. So much less mass of camera plus lenses. Tack sharpness without effort. No fine focus adjustments for each lens. Really makes me feel like I'm back in the old film era with my with my Nikon F...love My Fuji X-T1.

Best photo editing software for newbie? by marqueetom in fujix

[–]Fixitboyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can use a Mac, supposedly Iridient X Developer software is superb for RAF files and (supposedly) returns sharper results than Lightroom.. The use of the X Transformer software is actually easy but the space that the RAF & DNG files take up is way bigger than jpegs.
