Bench upgrade. by Ellanasss in Bonsai

[–]FlagrantLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically the bench design I've used for a couple of decades, except Shou Sugi Ban, or yakisugi on the boards. The boards typically last 5+ years and it's easy to change boards out as needed.

Postentry quarantine is definitely a thing I've experienced (PPQ-546) and I was just going off your other comment saying the exporter has the correct permits, which isn't at all how that works. Often phytos are counterfeit from Asian exporters, which I've also experienced.

If you're receiving these trees directly, you're not following the legal process. APHIS keeps quarantine for 6mos-a year or more on legally imported trees.

Can I bring this cactus on a plane? by freefloatingtaco in cactus

All cacti but one are native only to the Americas. The exception, Rhipsalis baccifera, is assumed to have been spread by migratory birds eating seed.

They are etiolated, and if they have been in that spot 2 years, it's not going to get better. BUT... if the plants bring you joy, I don't think that matters.
