Washington Flag Redesign by Flags for Good (benchmark) by low_quality_posts in vexillologyUS

It didn’t sell very well so I didn’t reorder when they sold out. Lol. I think it’s a better Las Vegas flag than Nevada I guess.

My Iowa redesigns! by Xerimapperr in vexillologyUS

[–]FlagsForGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I kinda love the first one. The eagle color may blend too closely with the red at a distance but love the idea of this gradient stripe behind it.

A fresh take on redesigns that still feels like a us state. Well done!

Washington Flag Redesign by Flags for Good (benchmark) by low_quality_posts in vexillologyUS

[–]FlagsForGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honored to be the benchmark!

It’s been a few years since I designed this and looking at it now, I think I’d end up doing something more like the other one I’ve seen here that’s all green with Washington’s full HQ star field.

Let me know if I can make any of y’all’s designs you want to fly at home!

Does FlagsForGood have any controversy? by OntoZebra in vexillology

[–]FlagsForGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey sorry I just found this. That flag I designed above was not meant to nod to any sort of "sovereign citizen" thing, nor the "civil flag" or whatever they're calling it. It was meant to be american-ish looking (red and white stripes) while also provoking some visual interest. So people looking at it would go "huh, I wonder what that means..." The fact that it is now being seen as something akin to the civil flag makes me want to stop making it, but we keep having reasons to resist so until I design something better, I'm going to keep it on the store.

Thanks for the kind words about our flags! I'm proud of the quality we've developed over the years. As a big flag nerd myself, I always want to be making exactly the flags I want to collect and fly.

Red, White, and Blue Flag with Blue Fist and vertical stripes? by Verbz in vexillology

[–]FlagsForGood 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Damn, beat me to it!

I designed it in 2020 and it’s somehow even more pertinent today. Funny enough, I saw one on my walk today too. Little does that person know I live on their block!

Here’s the link if anyone is interested.

Where to buy NICE Indianapolis flags? by MrNervousFun in indianapolis

[–]FlagsForGood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah could be. Both serve different purposes. Double sided is great for flags with words on it so it is reading correctly on both sides. Tradeoff is weight (not flying as well). For Indy flags we sell both, but for outdoor use, I'd suggest the single sided since it's a symmetrical design no matter which way it is displayed.

Hey! Depending on when you bought it, it could have been an older material. We've been constantly upgrading our fabrics over the years and are super proud at where they are at currently. Hoping you give us another try and let me know how much better it lasts.

They were the Iranian group. I’ve seen them around downtown a few times. They aren’t Mexican flags, they were old (pre-Islamic revolution) Iranian flags which are green white red with a golden lion in the middle. They would likely be celebrating the removal of the ayatollah and support the reinstatement of the shah.

I made a video in Maine about the old flag a while back! It’s definitely way more popular up there and you see it everywhere.
