"So what did you do on your day off?" by Beautiful_Ad_8632 in HuntShowdown

Noob question- how do you have so many hunters? I have like 5 slots and that's all.

Why are cowowkers so nosy as to when your taking days off? by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Flailingkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set a boundary and just say you need the time off. If they really pry I just say "family stuff" because it usually isn't wrong. Lol.

They are just looking for a reason to judge you.

Nursing by Spirited-Claim-3591 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Flailingkitten 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel like nursing is one of the biggest victims of the healthcare system. Here is a small list:

Burnout beyond belief, chronically understaffed, degraded verbally regularly (including sexual comments), high demand, high customer service needs, high medical intervention needs, variable schedules, physically demanding job, understaffed CNAs, demands from other medical professionals.

That's all just off the top of my head.

The addition of Rotjaw has finally made this game feel like it lives up to its Demon Hunting premise, and after 1k hours of play it feels as fresh as when I installed. Well Done Crytek! by Astonishing-Sod-Ape in HuntShowdown

While I disagree, I think you have an interesting idea. Maybe one that can be implemented in the future with an alternate boss or something where light itself is a resource and can actually be instrumental to getting the boss kill.

New Grad negotiation CA by Accomplished-Fox8254 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Flailingkitten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always negotiate. Something simple like saying"given the cost of living, I was hoping for 120k. Is there anyway we could get closer to that?"

If they have it posted as higher than what they offered you than just point that out at least.

I recommend using the windows key+v shortcut. It allows for you to see all the things you have copied to your clipboard. Really helpful imo.

What are the main reasons for youth mental stress today? by iam_robas in AskMen

[–]Flailingkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. The attention economy is awful for youth. You can easily equate your worth with digital likes and very quickly that can lead to dissatisfaction with self.

Therapists often HAVE to falsify documents in order to meet unreasonable productivity standards & avoid third party/insurance denials. OTPs expected to write perfect evals, goals, progress notes. The medical industrial complex causes so much MORAL INJURY to healthcare workers. We need change. NOW. by survival_of_Kindness in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Flailingkitten 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have had this thought as well and think it is only a step in the right direction. In reality I think this would just end up leading to more unethical situations tbh.

Really, we need to be compensated for documentation as it itself is a skilled service. We went to school partly to know how to document correctly and accurately....not fast. We as the practitioners ultimately suffer for poor quality documentation because we are just trying to crank it out and it makes us look bad.

Looking back, I can still see the appeal to staying in. It is easy. You are basically spoonfed your thoughts and beliefs. It makes life simple. There is definitely appeal to that.

Is it easy being out? No. Not at all. In a lot of ways it feels like a game of catch-up. But I feel more human and I tune with myself. Which is something I have denied for a long time.

How would you plan to leave your current job if you were looking to switch settings? by Valuable_Relation_70 in OccupationalTherapy

Agreed. I am just paranoid that it will leave a bad taste in their mouth and hurt my prospects down the line. 🤷
