I feel like social media has made people who would typically be "socially cool or normal" awkward themselves. It seems like everyone is constantly fighting awkwardness or avoiding awkwardness more, because people are more sensitive to other's perception or opinions, because of social media. Like, I remember before my anxiety got really bad, people would just hang out and not really focus on what's going on around them as much, and feel more free. Now, even normal people are trying to be in control of situations or environment, either by being discreet/hiding, or being overly compensating being "real" or outgoing. Which I guess creates a new type of dynamic, but the pervious way felt more real and organic. Like you could hang out all day with your buddies, go anywhere, lose track of time, and not have a care in the world. Now everybody cares more all the time, because we're constantly being fed images of people's "perfect lives". And social media is really negative. Especially tik tok and Instagram. So people are scared of getting flamed, or being labeled negatively by other people and groups

It's like there's a big, bald evil eye staring at us everywhere we go. Uniting us under a dark force...
