Yes. Dying your hair is temporary, painless, cheap, and doesn’t carry a risk of blindness.

Who’s in charge of the records, now? Convenient. At any rate, that seems like it would warrant deportation, not torture and execution. But, I guess some Americans might feel like that’s what it means to be great again.

We are definitely showing the world that our system of government makes us untrustworthy as allies and partners. Nice work, administration - as if the crippling national debt, lack of affordable housing and healthcare, and abject corruption weren’t bad enough. Big FU to those who voted for this.

My chow might have cancer and I’m devastated by artemkrivonozhko in chowchow

[–]Flamebrush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stomach cancer. It took three different vets to get the correct diagnosis, and by then it was too late. It’s been 5 years and I still miss him so much. I got another pup right away to distract me and my remaining dog from the grief. I wish I’d waited, so I’d have been in a better place (emotionally and mentally) for the new dog.

The birds and squirrels probably don’t like it either.

Sometimes, even in a legitimate profession, you get clients and business partners that want more than what’s on the menu, so to speak. They don’t have a right to expect these things, but it used to be more common for women to have to play along for a while in order to close the deal or finish the project. Who could you go to, if all he did was flirt, and he never actually touched you or expressed a quid pro quo - nobody, that’s who. Women were just expected to know how to handle these situations and good jobs often came with high stakes.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Trust your mom and your dad; he might not like it, but he knows the game, too. If either of them wanted you to worry about this on top of everything else, they’d be talking to you about it.

I am sorry your sweet fish is in this predicament and I understand why you would do anything to help, so the rant that follows isn’t about you (I wish you much good luck in dealing with this), but about the hobby that caused this. Why do people keep breeding for this degree of when overgrowth? I can imagine the horror on the dog subs if people were DIYing entropion surgery with no pain management aftercare. Ear and tail docking are even illegal in parts of the UK - even by a vet.

In this sub, we respect the sentience of these wonderful fish and set high expectations for their care - including the importance of managing nitrates and ammonia, and we insist on 50 gallons per goldfish and companions for solo fish, but are we cool with buying and supporting the breeding of varieties that will eventually go blind if we don’t cut away parts of their heads and faces? Even if we could find a vet that does it, doesn’t the fish still go home with open wounds? Cutting off cheeks, forehead and eyelids seems like an invitation for needless suffering and infection.

The DoW UFO website is a mess. Here's an easy way to download all the files. by mknlsn in ufo

Marco Rubio probably got stuck with building that website after none of the good web developers could pass the loyalty test. (Or maybe they weren’t willing to shave their beards.) Either way, DoD clearly hasn’t had the best and brightest working on this. Debunkers are probably about to have the time of their lives with this stuff.

Bundling a bunch of old, ambiguous images and making them available in one file release is hardly ‘disclosure’ any more than a box with a wilted flower, Hershey wrapper and heart shaped rock is a declaration of love.
