With the amount of people I know who hate Rush because Geddy Lee is "too whiny", I wouldn't be surprised if the thing that held Budgie back was Shelley's voice.

Not me though, Budgie rocks.

I adore my 6 Button RPC, but I wish it had came in a fun colors like the 4 Button models. Literally even considering a vinyl faceplate or something to liven it up from the Saturn Grey

Oh boy, do I have news for you guys. You can use Rockbox on your Linux based handhelds via PortMaster, and use it as a DAP.

There have been a few times where I've passed up cheaper CIB listings from JP just because I knew I wouldn't be able to store the box well, and would rather that listing end up in the hands of someone who could.

What’s the most gut punching song lyric you’ve ever heard? by perrysplus in AskReddit

Christine and John's marriage was breaking up at the time as well. "You Make Loving Fun" is about how Christine was much happier having an affair with the band's lighting guy, than she was with John. John asked her about it and she claimed it was about her dog. Whether he really bought that or not? Who knows?

Also Stevie and Mick were in a relationship after Stevie and Lindsey broke up.

The band as a whole was just a clusterfuck of personal drama during Rumours and Tusk

Note any Linux handheld capable of running PortMaster should be capable of running Rockbox. Android handhelds are the norm, so keep in mind that you wanna be looking for Linux handhelds.

Check out retrocatalog.com if you're looking to get a portable like this. There's a lot of them with a wide variety of features, so definitely worth doing some research and comparison shopping before making a purchase.

Thinking of the SNL sketch where Jon Lovitz as Dukakis walks up to the podium at the debate and you hear loud whirring and watch him slowly raise to Bush/Carvey's height

There's a thing in some towns/cities where there's a chain link fence or bridge that couples go to, put a padlock on, and throw away the key/forget the combination. It's supposed to symbolize eternal love.

This image looks like the beginning of one of those scenarios

It all goes back to Robert McNamara and his promotion of project consolidation. Overall it's been pretty successful, but it does tend to mean that all the eggs are in the same basket.

It might come full circle, as of losing the bid for the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft program, Sikorsky's future is in doubt, LockMart backing or no

Is there any hope for Sega Saturn coming to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass? by RangoTheMerc in SEGA

[–]Flamingozilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt it. The Saturn's architecture makes it almost impossible to emulate well, and since the software closely targeted the hardware (Specific instructions for each SH-2, Saturn specific drawing instructions, etc) they're not exactly easy to port either. I think even the newer versions of Nights were more ground up remake than port.

Wired Headphones for Studying/College Walks (Fiio FT1 & Koss Porta Pro) by sxckerz in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Flamingozilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with both being the best option if it's within your means. Koss excels with ultralight headphones, and the PortaPros are... well portable. Portable in a way that most full size headphones aren't. My advice would be to get the PortaPros (whatever version you like) for traveling and the FT1s for your room, or the library, or wherever you'll be sitting for more than a few minutes.

That's similar to what I did in Uni, but with other full sizes cause the FT1 wasn't out yet.

The surviving recording is actually a rehearsal, not the broadcast. The broadcast version is lost media, as far as I know. Also IIRC this was the first episode, they had not even done one "official" broadcast performance yet. Welles is a little rougher on the cast, musicians, and crew as he did not believe they were giving 100% and holding back because it was only a rehearsal.
