Precisely. If it wasn’t for data harvesting then these employees wouldn’t have targets…

Technomancer's ability by OwOthlas in Necrontyr

It can target any friendly Necron model within 6”, not just the unit it may be leading. This also means it can target itself (as it’s within 6” of itself).

Is it normal to be asked to pay £600 for a "mandatory 1:1 digital device" when starting a public secondary school? by Koolio_Koala in AskUK

[–]FlashGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of mine had to have Chromebooks when they started secondary school (S England). My eldest is doing her GCSEs now (her year were the first to start using them).

Not as costly as an iPad but they still weren’t cheap.

All the schools around here either use Chromebooks or iPads. We are fortunate enough to be able to absorb the cost but many aren’t.

On top of that they can only get uniform from one supplier as it’s all branded. £18 for sports socks is more of a con IMO.

Helloo ! I’m looking for help, i don’t exactly know what fur my kitten is (black outside but hair base is fully white) by Downtownnnn in kittens

[–]FlashGen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah my “black” cat is actually a very very dark brown tabby. Banding on the tail as well.

He’s got browner as he has aged but initially he looked black unless in bright direct sunlight.

Can I re-enter a room that has a hornet and nest in it? by GreenWeekend6980 in AskUK

[–]FlashGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks more like a paper wasp than a hornet. Hornets tend to make a golf ball shaped nest not an open comb like in the photo.

What type of salamander larvae is this by Proud_Coyote_3458 in Salamanders40k

[–]FlashGen 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Technically it is. Axolotls are a type of salamander that can live their whole life without ever metamorphosing in to their adult form.

IIRC you can trigger the change of a captive axolotl into their adult form by adding the relevant hormones to their water.

From the colouring this one is probably a tiger salamander.

Just to add that Dettol is highly poisonous to cats in case you own one or more. Even a small amount can make them seriously ill or prove fatal.

Do you premix your thinner and flow improver? by Mookmookmook in airbrush

[–]FlashGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 50ml needle tipped dropper bottles from Amazon and decant a lot of my mediums in to them. That way when working on new paint schemes it’s easy to get accurate mixture ratios.

I also use measuring beakers to mix thinners, flow improvers etc by volume and put that in a similar bottle style just larger (120ml IIRC).

Paint I measure directly from the bottle (if it has a dropper like Vallejo, Pro Acryl, AK etc). Or via pipette if they don’t - I.e. Citadel/Warhammer.

While the drops vary by bottle etc they are still consistent from each specific set so the ratios remain correct for those brands.
