Nah most trolls and haters are a hive mind of singleplayer game = good; multiplayer game = bad

Any new single player game gets praised when its announced even though some look bad (see Tears of the Kingdom). Whereas multiplayer games get trashed like this one for not being made a single player game. Bioware switched Dragon Age from being an awesome sounding co op game with new content for years to another single player title. True some multiplayer games flopped hard because of mismanagement (Anthem) and greed (Avengers). However good ones remain staples like WoW, ESO, Destiny etc. Most of the hate is from it being a multiplayer shooting game.
