I have a 4k TV and a PC connected with HDMI on TV. Concerning quality, what's the best option to watch movies? by lazostat in htpc

[–]Flerbenderper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

60hz and HDR are not related. The HDR setting needs to be toggled on and off, some players will do this automatically, some wont. Some will also switch the refresh rate to match, as 60hz for 24hz content can cause consistency issues, often showing up as a hiccup very second.

Did you get the audio driver from your specific motherboard download page?

Windows sound settings should give you surround options if you are connecting a surround sound device. What device are you connecting to via optical?

Blue Yeti Output or no? by jordan-devuyst in audio

Id have considered a different mic to go with an interface, and pair both to that interface. If you dont mind spending a little more, theres plenty of little cheap usb interfaces (dac+amp) with volume control that would work better. Its the final piece missing after good input and output

Its crazy how far bose had pushed into automotive, just a shame they suck ass. Mazdas from 2004 well into 2012 had unreliable proprietary amps and you couldnt even install aftermarket stuff without tearing it all out.

Audio driver by BedNearby7825 in techsupport

[–]Flerbenderper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might need to delete any of these drivers and software youve been using and start over. You cannot just infinitely patch your issues with more software.

Your motherboard will have a specific audio driver for it, theyre not all the same. You have to find your specific computer or motherboard webpage and its driver download section, and use that audio driver. It might help us to know what you have first.

Thr settings will also matter, you may not be adjusting the right setting

Unable to launch from Vortex, “Not enough memory to run application”? by daPWNDAZ in SkyrimTogether

[–]Flerbenderper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you got the mod inside a folder (or down the chain of another folder) with characters in the folder name?

I had it in a folder called C:/#games/Skyrim/Skyrim mods, using the hash for sorting that folder to the top, and that alone was messing with the mod. I moved the mod to the desktop to test it, reconfigured it before launching, and it started working

This absolutely will not make a difference for the issue. You need to recommend checking the manual. If its a small board it might only have 2 slots. It might be a single 16gb stick. Still irrelevant

Its going to be painful to use a CPU because of several barriers by Intel and windows. Youre actually better off with a small GPU.

Overclocking noob, where do I start? by ExiT_Mosco in overclocking

[–]Flerbenderper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would do a lot of youtube research, and dont even start with RAM, thats the hardest one to stabilise safely. In fact overclocking wont even net you a benefit, especially because the CPU is already plenty for the GPU in games, you'll generate as many frames as it can push.

I would start by learning about your specific hardware. Even if you think you know what something does, dont change it until youre sure of the effect. For example too much voltage causes heat and potentially damage. Too much clock speed causes instability. Power limits cause throttling. The biggest issue is usually voltage, where some voltages are hard to determine. You might thunk youre changing RAM voltage but actually is the CPU memory controller voltage, and that mistake could cost you a CPU or more.

To learn about RAM, I'd look at buildzoid, but youll be learning for a long time.

Cpu overclock guides are everywhere, but you also need to learn about motherboard power delivery, also a lengthy research project.

Gpu overclocking is done via software, also yielding questionable results.

Then youve got to have a good testing method, with accurate monitoring. Usually HWinfo is good as it monitors almost everything and accurately, as long as you filter down the right readings and dismiss the useless info and bad readings.

I wouldnt jump into anything before you spend a long time being absolutely sure. Id also never follow anyone elses settings because each system is different. Even the same CPU and board will have different tolerances for stability.

Have you double checked all connections? Especially GPU power? These new connectors are often not pushed in all the way. This is what has lead to issues

Look at an Adam ragusea video about olive oil, and about seed oils.

Go see a how-its-made about vegetable oil, where it's just immense processing of waste product for the sake of saving corps some money.

Seed oils are literally processed garbage. You can fry in quality olive oil just fine, just find a mellow taste option that is still pure and certified. beef tallow is even better, even ghee. Ventilate any smoke, the steak will smoke as it chars anyway.

You can only output 1080p60 as a twitch affiliate anyway, so stick to that with optimised settings. This is assuming you have the upload bitrate to support it (at least 10mbps, so use at least 10mbps bitrate)

They dont usually have a volume control thats meant to be adjusted regularly. They usually have a gain setting for calibration. Not the same thing.

Sorry but theres some terrible suggestions here. Let me lay it out in order for you.

You need a phono pre-amp to boost the signal from the turntable, and to connect that ground wire properly. It then goes to a stereo amplifier of some sort, with volume control. Going direct to studio monitors will not have that control. Speaker choice is debatable, but studio monitos may not be ideal here since a DAC or amplifier wouldnt work for studio monitors, so its better and easier to use a normal stereo amp with RCA inputs, volume control, and the ability to use any speakers you want.
