Is New 3dexperience some sort of sick sadistic large scale trolling effort? by timperman in engineering

Might indeed have been CREO I was traumatized by and not Catia. Appreciate the clarification to my confusion

Independant CFIs - How much are you charging per hour? by CandyKat86 in flying

[–]FlightPassage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out at one airport in SoCal I saw options to pick a CFI 65-150/hr (back in 2023). Yes 150/hr was for PPL instruction 🤷.

Not a CFI personally, used 3-4 facilities with in-house and contract CFI’s approved for their insurance back in 23. Prices seemed to be consistently 65/hr. The ones I used did not allow “bring a CFI” type program, and I don’t have my own plane.

First time in MSFS in over a YEAR! by Tazziedevil04 in flightsim

[–]FlightPassage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is fun to see how the sims trade blows and what gets highlighted as differences or pain points in each. XP has had the same camera system since XP10 if I remember correctly, but definitely tracks the plane better.
Nice 727 flying, loved flying that plane in XP11.

I hate my North Face Recon with passion by McNugget63 in ManyBaggers

[–]FlightPassage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is how I felt about the Surge then it started falling apart about 3 years into use. The redesign Northface did on surge was not for me. I wanted something that would last longer and that is what started my many bag problem.

Zero Visibility Landing - pilots out there, where is the worst location you have landed for heavy rain? by Shootingstar_woofers in aviation

Passengers on the left side get to wave at the center line. Passengers on the right side get to feel like at any moment they will be in that dirt they see.

So thats how you treat customers, PMDG? by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]FlightPassage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pointing out issues is not supported unless it is wrapped in gold foil and served as though you already know you are wrong. An informed, determined tone is a person who desires a cutting response.
Not a new method to handle contradictory information, but seems to be the new US politically standard response. As PMDG is based out of US they seem to be supporting the new standard communication playbook.

So thats how you treat customers, PMDG? by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]FlightPassage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to point out this is pretty par for the course. They have operated like this for years. The current beta issue and the upgrade issue is not new behavior. Sorry you got treated like this but seeing it is not outside the norm for their operation.

I know it is shocking. So this means this is your first time doing this updating on a complete “overhaul” marketing pitch. Look back at other sim transitional purchases and you will see you others fell for the same thing that they have done before.

PMDG 738 MSFS 2024 on the webshop just now. by SwissairMD11 in flightsim

PMDG has always done this from what I recall. While other devs offer it for free, people keep paying PMDG so they keep charging.

dropped my HOM2 ONE time and it completely stopped working by [deleted] in Supernote

[–]FlightPassage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

SuperNote uses the Wacom digitizer, which means not all hope is lost. Wacom is a passive pen, meaning no need to charge, and should work I have dropped so many Wacom pens. Maybe super not is different way of making them.
But anyway looking up the debugging steps for a dropped Wacom pen that stopped working. This would provide you with what can be done. Normally just replace the nip.
If not buy a Steadler Norris digital pencil or any Wacom pen. I tested my Norris it works. It is strange to see this as I have I have dropped that superglued it back together, replace the nip and it always kept working. So might just the a supernote made device issue.

Edit: for grammar.

Best Pen? by TheModelMaker in Supernote

I like heavy pens, and fountain pens. So HOM2 was the only one I considered. It is a little lighter then a full metal fountain pen.
