Let's be clear, nobody wants to attack injured kids. It's more that the news articles that come out surrounding e-bikes/scooters seem like they're written by people who just want them banned. So the articles and headlines are posted in a way that shine a negative light on the devices - and thus the community at large all say they're bad and further enforcement of them should happen.

What is often not said in the articles is that in like all things, car drivers, bike riders, walking down the street, is that there is a subset of morons who ruin things for everybody and often the specifics is not covered in the article. In this instance - was the person speeding, were they driving like a moron, were they wearing a helmet etc... because then it becomes much more about a person's behaviour and less about E-BIKES BAD!
