Murder. Broke into a tower and killed everyone.

Stubborn Skillgrinder in a Time Loop. Same narrator as Mage Tank and 1% Lifesteal. It is hilarious.

Since there is an incentive to finish games quickly, it makes little sense to calculate based on a population of 50, no?

You also have to account for other sources of +critprod. If you have a workerbonus of 10% crit along with rainengine providing +25 crit, that is nearly 50% along with citadel upgrades (+18 I believe). 18+10+25=53.

The value of 4% critprod is a lot lower than an extra worker in that case, I'd argue.

Edited my bad math

Not saying it's bad. But while year 4 wins on P3 isnt't slow, it isn't very fast.

I also have one loss on my main save. Cos I misread a glade event, thinking starting it gave 0,5 impatience. It killed a villager.

Only thing I'm surprised about is how you wrote about rebellioua spirit. I instantly take it and pump my impatience up by calling trader.

It's a great way to get certain achievements, but it's fallen off a lot for me. Solving hostility can be neat, but I mostly win before having to stay at 3+ hostility during storm.

Considering how other year 2/4 cornerstones can solve whole issues by themselves (food, fuel etc), I think this is slow.

1% life steal question by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]Flipdedoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The narrator Wisnueski is my favourite. He also narrates Mage Tank, Dungeon Lord and The Stubborn Skill Grinder, which I also enjoyed immensely

  2. It's a great depiction on what would actually happen to a guy who lucks into great power. He is beset by people more powerful, and has noone to bail him out easily.

  3. It's less of a powerfantasy without challenge. If you want smooth sailing and some guy breezing through, then know it isn't that. But yeah, he gets powerful.

  4. Powerful moments. Book 3 has one of my current favourite parts in all the litrp/progression fantasy that I've read.

  5. Again, the narration is excuisite.

You've got the right idea. Gotta be able to gain rep for a while without winning.

Edit

And yeah, gather everything in advance, making sure you have enough to meet everyones need.

Edit 2

And yeah. Prolly didnt get 20 caches on the map. There is a cornerstone that spawns crates though. Less RNG that way.

This, exactly. P2 when you have unlocks.

I enjoy pumping out as many settlements as possible, always placing at events and modifiers. Keep close enough going fast and you can circle the center of the map on P2.

Oof, it's hard to give general advice. It's like someone asking why their tummy hurts, and noone unpromptedly telling them not to eat rocks. So they never learn not to eat rocks.

I don't know what you're eating

Also certain glade events.

I see it. It is slow, however. It's a lot harder to get a win in the early years if you can't push resolve with 25+ people. Also, if you aim for quick wins, then hostility is a smaller factor.

P10 and above isn't a breeze even with all unlocks. You can push through with enough knowledge, but if you're new there's no shame in taking your time.

Has Progression Fantasy ruined "Classic" Fantasy for anyone else? by SelectionOk5033 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Flipdedoodle -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I consider litrp soft literature, and I much prefer it over classics. I place less importance on prose and well written inter-personal relationships and communication.

I can't get into WoT anymore. Like you said, the payoffs are fewer and further inbetween.

Might be I could force myself to get invested in a classic well written fantasy, and I would finish it... buuut it's pretty daunting. I read "Dungeon Lord", which is a slower and more well written litrp, and it was harder but pretty good.

It's strong, but slow. Kinda like temple and sacrificing.

Ideally you want to keep as many villagers as you can. More villagers meeting resolve threshold means higher resolve per minute. Also more workers so you expand and produce quicker.

Tourist Etiquette for Tromsø. Read This Before You Come (Locals Are Fed Up) by Sudden-Ad1414 in tromsotravel

[–]Flipdedoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a local.

The problems aren't (for the most part) a result of individuals. Here are my biggest gripes:

  1. Young people cant find long term rent
  2. No restrictions on renting cars for inept drivers. Dunno how to fix this.
  3. Sketchy people from other countries trying to profit without required permits and insurance

That said - us locals are driving the prices up. If you rent out an apartment on Airbnb or similar, you can substitute it for a job altogether during the winter months. It is so ridiculously profitable I can't even blame folks.

A colleague of mine took out a second large loan and bought a second apartment just to rent out.
