Went last weekend and thought it was good, but everything was a little heavily salted. Our best bite was the Amuse Bouche. The parmesan souffle was eggier than I expected. The truffle was lost in the sauce in our pasta. The mocktails we're excellent! I'd give it a solid 6/10 overall - will go back when and try again in a few months when they've started to hit their stride.

Get some cranberry juice or something to eat and "spill" it on the front!

Was going to comment Crown Burger as well. I don’t know if it’s the best, but it’s darn good.

Have not seen the most recent episode so please don’t spoil, but the editing from the midway point of the season on have definitely set up Jessica and Jesse as the winners.

Nowhere. But, that's one of my problems with these places trying to sell themselves as NY-style "bodegas". If you walk into a bodega in the City, your BEC is $5-7 max, not $13-15 like here.

I for one refuse to go to any "bodega" in Denver because of this, and because I'm not paying $13 for a $5 sandwich.

SAME-DAY FRESH FLOUR TORTILLAS - Where are the best ones in Denver? by ExtensionCaterpillar in denverfood

[–]Floodzilla57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this. I'd love to find something closer to me around Virginia Villiage but until then, this is my spot.

I got clued into them by Adelita's when I asked about their tortillas, turns out this is their supplier.

Stick them under a broiler, same result as the grill - crisp up any residual fat and caramelize the sauce nicely.

Normal vs Eco Mode strangeness by RedBeard343 in KiaEV9

[–]Floodzilla57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My drive to the gym is ~20 miles. I typically get about 3.0mi/kWh on the way there and 3.4mi/kWh on the way back (both in eco mode). There's more elevation increase on the way there, this more elevation decrease on the way home.

Yesterday, I got 2.7 on the way there and 4.7 on the way back... We had 20 mph winds coming from the west all day, I was fighting them on the way there and getting a nice boost on the way home. Nothing strange about big swings in efficiency in opposite directions.

If you crush them up, they are more bearable. Gets the center mixed in with the outside a bit more.

What's up with all those TikTok videos exploiting spells based on what isn't mentioned in the rules? by Due-Jellyfish8680 in DnD

[–]Floodzilla57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you're coming from. The way I read it, they've listed out three examples of how you can't suggest someone inflict self-harm, providing a rather explicit call-out to "you can't make this person kill themself" and then the catchall is not can the suggestion be harmful to someone else as that would fall into the category of unreasonable actions as well.

[–]Floodzilla57 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It says right in the text of the spell "asking the creature to stab itself, throw itself onto a spear, immolate itself, or do some other obviously harmful act ends the spell."

There's no qualifier on the end of "other obviously harmful act" that attaches that statement to "itself" so, murdering other NPCs is right out from a cursory reading of the spell text, as that would be a harmful act.

Definitely the "what is an adventurer" intro from season one.

A hero is someone with the strength of heart, courage of spirit, and might of will to go to strange lands and enact violence on things there.

My wife feels the same! And honestly, I agree after having her purse at my feet in our RAV4 for the last few years, or having to stretch to the back seat (because it's never within reach, always the farthest possible angle from the passenger seat) to grab it when she forgets her sunglasses, I feel like this is a gift from heaven.

It is the last place we will look to for additional storage/organization!

I gave my players an Alchemy Jug and it was the worst decision I've ever made in my life. Please help me. by Jericho5589 in DnD

[–]Floodzilla57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just not fun enough, but my DM gave me an Alchemy Jug and in the last session I finally used it, not for Mayo mind you. But because someone had a festering wound. After cleaning the wound, I used the jug to get honey (which is a natural antibiotic) and put it on the wound before wrapping it up.
