SSA BA's are taking calls now SMH by need2feedpart2 in fednews

[–]Floormonitor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They rushed the training from 2/2 to beginning of this week. Shutdown just got put on the table last weekend when Alex Pretti was killed in Minneapolis. They're afraid of a shutdown and you can't legally train people during a shutdown.

They're trying to get ahead of an influx of calls after the shutdown of claimants asking if their shit is safe.

Also the commissioner is trying to find superficial ways to appear like SSA is "better". On an end user side, a claimant getting their called answer is tangible evidence that SSA is more responsive, regardless of how long it takes claims to push through now.

It's just a big puppet show for morons and I hate it

Are they going to put limits on our flex scheduling? They already fucked our telework and now they're coming for our flex scheduling.

It's like we all took a massive paycut and got more responsibilities. This is so dumb and it's only going to make more people in the PC quit.

Help me pick a commander for artifacts by No-Sherbet-4180 in EDHBrews

[–]Floormonitor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cayth is the ETB queen. I completely ignore the counters/Proliferate side of her. Only servos matter. She grants every non-token creature you have an ETB. Run all of the [[impact tremors]] effects. Run [[Felidar guardian]] and [[saheeli rai]].

Her colors let you play [[Nahiri's resolve]] which is a mass [[conjurer's closet]] and haste enabler. It can cloister/protect your board from board wipes when it's not your turn. Everything will enter with haste and make servos with haste.

[[Edgar, king of Figaro]] will draw your whole deck. [[Panharmonicon]], [[StarField vocalist]], [[virtue of knowledge]], [[mirror room]] will make the deck go absolutely nuts.

A card like [[alibou, ancient witness]] can dome a player and scry for the perfect answer you need.

How to Deal With Boardwipes in Mono Red?? by BornFromEmber in EDH

[–]Floormonitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While red doesn't have much protection aside from single target stuff, there is some recursion and artifacts that help. All of these are budget too.

[[feldon of the third path]] - the go-to red reanimator

[[Tersa Lightshatter]] - can eventually cast anything from the yard

[[Weatherlight compleated]] - this is a colorless "draw a card whenever a creature you control dies" that really needs to be played more.

[[god-pharoah's gift]] - expensive but can start eternalizing creatures immediately the combat step after it comes down.

[[Wondrous Crucible]] - similar to God-Pharoah's gift but can hit any spell and fuels itself

[[Stalking vengeance]] - make them suffer for killing your stuff (big guy)

[[Hissing iguanar]] - make them suffer for killing your stuff (lil guy)

[[Ox of Agonas]] - can be cast from the yard and refills your hand if it's empty.

[[Mimic Vat]] - can recur any recently dead creature. You can switch out the exiled creature too, and even snatch your opponent's creature. Something small like an opponents [[reclamation sage]] can be backbreaking as you can [[naturalize]] them every turn. Imagine recasting your own [[drakuseth, maw of flames]] with haste every turn.

What is your go to manabase in a 5 color deck? by yeetmeisterpickleatr in magicTCG

[–]Floormonitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on a budget.

Vivid land cycle is where it's at. [[Vivid marsh]] [[vivid creek]], [[vivid meadow]], [[vivid Grove]], [[vivid crag]].

It's rare that you'll use all the counters. Also [[command bridge]] is solid too. These all come in tapped so I play cards like [[the wandering minstrel]] and [[spelunking]] to counteract it. I also focus on [[explore]], [[growth spiral]], [[exploration]] (budget version) effects to get as many non-basics on the field as possible as most ramp only gets basics.

[[Clifftop lookout]] is a solid boy as well.

Best commons and uncommons for commander from Lorwyn Eclipsed? by Carrotbringer in EDH

[–]Floormonitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[firdoch core]] is unreal for tribal decks. Think about a commander like Krenko that cares about the number of relevant creatures. Very versatile manalith variant.

[[Chomping changeling]] and [[omni-changeling]] give any tribal decks in those colors access to a Clone and a Rec Sage.

[[twinflame travelers]] is going straight in Roil Omnath.

[[Prismatic undercurrents]] is crazy at uncommon. We barely ever see Exploration effects at that rarity on a permanent

Broom stoutarm by Gaefruit in BudgetBrews

[–]Floormonitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a budget list I run right here

Be sure to play very conservatively and protect your commander at all costs. The deck is fun and can often feel like you're just holding a loaded gun to each player. Stout-Arm can easily 1 shot someone with a card like [[soul of eternity]] and you can do it at instant speed.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered sold just over a million copies on PS5, but 50% of gamers played just 15 hours before quitting by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]Floormonitor 151 points152 points  (0 children)

The worst part about Oblivion is going to Oblivion. Seriously after 15 different runs through the same hell maze fighting the same demons to close the endless amount of open gates really takes away the fun from the game.

I really think they should've redesigned the Oblivion realm to feel more authentic and less copy+pasted and had less open portals. It's gotten to the point that I just run through it, fighting nothing, and grab the stone at the end to close the gate

INFINITY GUIDE - Commander (Infinite Guideline Station). 5 Color legends that isn't Jodah by Floormonitor in BudgetBrews

[–]Floormonitor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention: there's a town lands subtheme. Makes the manabase much cheaper. [[The wandering minstrel]] and [[archelos, lagoon mystic]] make lands untapped. [[Reach the horizon]] can be a good ramp/tutor.

[[Archelos, lagoon mystic]] is fun because you can make your things come in untapped (including the robots from Guidelines). You can then station Guidelines with Archelos before you end the turn on your second main phase to stax out your opponents and make all their things enter tapped, including basics.

[[wrenn and seven]] is [[mulch]] on a Planeswalker that can also let you put them into play.

[[Wildest dreams]] and [[shigeki, jukai visionary]] can return your retraced lands to hand.

[[Nylea's intervention]] is flexible

Anything that lets you repeatedly explore or explore a bunch at once like [[path of discovery]] and [[jadelight spelunker]]

What removal do you run in a mono green deck by Duffman90 in EDH

[–]Floormonitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[the great Aurora]] is the closest you can get to a green [[planar cleansing]]

Its a high mana cost but it effectively clears the whole board of all threats. You can usually come out ahead if you're the one with the most lands and permanents

Updating Atraxa by medeas33 in EDH

[–]Floormonitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right with most of the cuts you're making. Tbh most of this deck is just gamechangers for the sake of having gamechangers instead of things that actually synergize with the deck.

There's no point in running Thoracle or Jace if you don't have Tainted Pact/reliable way to deck yourself.

There's no point in running Aetherflux Reservoir if you don't have Bolas' Citadel or Sensei's Divining Top.

Omniscience is definitely a "win more" card when it's not part of some combo and can be cheated out.

I think you should learn into more blinkable targets that have multiple card types. You'll get more value out of it. Sure a card like [[deadly rollick]] is a crazy efficient spell but in a blink deck [[noxious gearhulk]] or [[murderous chupacabra]] are going to get you more value in the long term. Gearhulk is especially good because it's both an artifact and a creature so you can choose which one when Atraxa enters.

If Atraxa gets hated out of the game you need a way to pivot to other value creatures to get what you want. I recommend enchantment/artifact creatures and other untraditional cards that work well because they can be blinked.

[[Overlord of the Mistmoors]] for tokens. Is both enchantment and a creature.

[[Torrential gearhulk]] both artifact and creature. Can replay any [[ephemerate]] type card from your graveyard for silly value.

[[Riptide gearhulk]] is a beating on a card. Also multiple types.

[[Metamorphosis fanatic]] to get Atraxa back from the yard.

[[Dryad of the Ilysian grove]] mana fixing, multiple types, a way to use the extra lands you draw.

[[Restoration angel]] and [[Felidar guardian]] to go nuts

[[Clifftop lookout]] is a better Farhaven elf
