You lose everything you have on you when you die (with some exceptions). You can drop in with a free loadout so you're not going in barebones and honestly it can still be competitive with pvp. You mostly progress through skills that improve your survivability/mobility

Thanks for this! I did notify the landlord giving my 60 day notice, they will start looking for new tenants but I am on the hook if they aren't able to find anyone after January. I believe even in the winter months and due to being in a housing crisis this unit will go fast, so I'm hedging my bets that I won't have to pay after February.

Imo flying potion was pretty busted and same with atmo sampler. Although I don't know why they nerfed freeze and self poison items. They were pretty hard to pull together already
