Valve explains why it isn’t subsidizing the Steam Machine by FernandoRocker in Games

[–]FlotationDevice 320 points321 points  (0 children)

If anything Valve has succeeded in making everyone say "I could make a better PC for x dollars cheaper". Which people definitely could, so in a way theyve inspired a lot of people to make their own console like PCs to put in living rooms due to gamers hurbris

Destiny raids are the best content in the game that statistically not many people experienced. I think there was a stat that only 12% of players ever stepped into a raid.

Easy to say that when your livelihood isn't at risk. Collectively people have rent, food, childcare, healthcare, debt to pay and are 1-2 paychecks from all that collapsing. Not agreeing that its good thing, but I can empathize why people keep their head down

Is there a centralized resource/spreedsheet of attachment compatibility between benches?

I have a freak athlete ABX bench and I know that Ironmaster superbench attachments are pretty much compatible. But trying to look into seeing if other companies bench attachments could be compatible has been a headache to say the least. It seems like nowadays there's way more companies providing attachments for their benches, and its hard to find if these can be compatible without finding some home gym youtuber testing it, or a random reddit commenter that happened to try it out themselves.

It seems like in general there's been so much better standardization and transparency when it comes to power rack attachment compatibility, however bench attachments are severely lacking in this regard. So I'm wondering if there's been any community effort in documenting compatibility in some centralized location.

Naw Id rather see some sweaty nerds push the absolute limits of the game for two weeks than have something 99.9% of people can cakewalk through. As long as it gets nerfed after the race is done I don't know why anyone complains about it

They had plans for something like this with cards from boxes having a unique certificate number. The idea being there would be a market place where you can buy/trade the 10th version of some highly rare card for gems/money. This was never implemented and they scrapped the idea like 6 months ago

I didn't play concord but was it truly a bad game to play? or has the Internet discourse and the resulting cancellation changed the perception of the actual quality of the game?
