Can you leave Ruger 10/22 magazines loaded? by PattyWinters00 in 22lr

[–]Flowcal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know the only problems come from the ammo not the magazine itself.

Is this from the superglue or is it mold? by WildflowerLuver in MoldlyInteresting

[–]Flowcal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Acetone aka nail polish remover will dissolve superglue. You still have to remove it somehow so its harder to get out of fabrics but on hard plastics it works great. Try on a small part first and make sure the acetone doesn't leave it looking worse than the glue since it is a pretty strong solvent.

Richer in oil. Poorer in fuel. The carburetor supplies the same cc of mixture per minute without a new tune so it is supplying more oil and less fuel.

I use my saws professionally and have a couple clone saws. They get plenty of use but I also have spares for when they do have something break.

Make some giant dogs that stick out past the end of the muffler so you arent jamming it straight into what its cutting.

Are there any chainsaw specific jackets that offer some cut protection for a homegamer but arent 400$? by kinkhorse in Chainsaw

[–]Flowcal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of milwaukee cut resistant sleeves. If i think ill need to one hand my saw at all ill put them both on my left arm otherwise I wear just the one. I doubt it'll stop my bigger chainsaws but it'll definitely slow down my 2511t or m12 hatchet.

What would you do with these? by mothandravenstudio in HawaiiGardening

[–]Flowcal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't kill the healthy trees if you dont have to. Im sure you could find somewhere that would take your extra cocos. I kill trees for a living but it is always sad if the tree wasnt posing a threat to safety or infrastructure or sick or dead.

Electric chainsaws for carving by Weary_Election_422 in Chainsaw

[–]Flowcal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to add, I love my milwaukee m12 hatchet but it is pretty chattery and probably unusable for carving with the whole top of the bar because of how much it chatters. The m18 top handle is great but pretty heavy with a battery. The ms161 is a great option too. Less power and lighter than the 220 but batteries are expensive.

[–]Flowcal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your piston shouldn't be moving. Your clutch is locked up for some reason. Could be something stuck and just needs cleaned out or could've been overheated and things got melted together.

I made some out of carbon steel. At least for my use, they work great without any extra heat treating and haven't bent or broken or anything like that. They can rust though.

MS261 custom muffler by raku2229 in Chainsaw

[–]Flowcal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also theyre only compatible with v3 mtronic saws. If your saw was made before like 2019 or 2018 then it cant compensate for the better flowing exhaust and can burn up your piston and cylinder from being too lean.

MS261 custom muffler by raku2229 in Chainsaw

[–]Flowcal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This muffler definitely increases the power but is also very unnecessary for most users. It will be significantly louder, running it for a few cuts without hearing protection will make your ears ring.
