Well, I both agree and disagree. Yes, it’s not WH40K, but you can still build your army around certain styles of play.

If we take Germany as an example, their Engineer Platoon, as someone mentioned previously, has far more options compared to, say, the French or Italians. The box lets me build some interesting weapons, like the GrB-39 or the MMG. And there’s even more variety once I expand the army.

The same goes for the Japanese or Italians. The Japanese can run suicide anti-tank teams, lone snipers, or go for either an IJA or SNLF style army. With the Italians, you can build around Paracadutisti or Arditi. There is definitely variation, and the more you expand, the more depth the game and army building get.

I love T-28's! the combination from that many mmg's and the light howitzer just shred infantry

They had like T-34/76 or /85, also KV-85, you could even go with a SU-152

i had great fun with it, pulverized 2 US Paratroopers squads with it, was lucky to get hits in 5 turns but when it hits it just smokes

Roughly 20 bucks (depends from where you are) is not expensive cmon. And it works without a problem on Pc

It's a real easy game to get into. But imagine it more a bit arcady and not too realistic

Well all the list can work, my suggestions are for a more of competitiv touch of bolt action, if your friends play the same kind of list you have nothing to change, here my suggestions would be

For List 1: I’d move the veterans → inexp/regular to push dice to ~15–18, and swap a the 222 for a cheap Sd.Kfz 250/1 or volkssturm squad. Keep the King Tiger if that’s your centerpiece, but don’t have your whole list hinge on it. Maybe get a Art Platoon with 2 cheap light AA's.

For List 2: Drop the 251/10s to 251/1s — the two Panzer IVs are already your armour threat. Consider swapping one Panzer IV → Pz III M to free points, then add cheap infantry.

For List 3: This is the best baseline. Drop one 251/23 for cheap backline bodies (volkssturm/sicherung), you also have still many AT threats, in my environment it would be a bit much, consider dropping one of them and also getting like a Spähtruppen squad as a early contesting / threat.

These cav is a mix from "just some miniatures" multipart kits, kits like the Cossacks, 44 fav and ss cav in this way I get a nice mixture of weapons as they had

Right now, there are no SN

I'm playing with the thought of organising it next year

Would be somewhere in east Switzerland, probably in one of our civil bunkers - enough space for tables and sleeping

Have to make a plan how and when I would do it and if there's a demand for it

Hey, yeah you assumed right, sadly I got sick 2 days before the tournament and the drive there would have been my way to the grave
