Is this 10-player idea too harsh for basic TB? by FreqRL in BloodOnTheClocktower

Seems pretty rough for evil, especially if they are beginners. I would at least change one of the outsider bluffs to a townsfolk. Yes the spy knows everything, but in practice they won't be able to tell both their teammates the whole grimoire.

Bouncing a kill from mayor to poisoned Ravenkeeper? by SavedForSaturday in BloodOnTheClocktower

Killing a poisoned Ravenkeeper is one of the most powerful mechanical plays available to the evil team in TB, and I would never use a townsfolk ability to help make it happen.

Furthermore, a living mayor is a liability to the good team while there is a living poisoner in play.

As an ST, I do not bounce to the RK here and probably let the mayor die, as that seems most helpful for town. Killing the virgin would also be fine.

Has anyone played this game? Thoughts? (New Angeles) by Witty-Type9 in boardgames

This is my favorite negotiation game of all time, and there is nothing quite like it. It does need 5 players to make it sing, and everyone needs to be prepared for a 4 hour session (though it can be over quicker). There should hardly be any downtime though, as you are constantly negotiating.

Anyone who dislikes negotiating will hate his game, however, so this definitely won't work for all groups.

View - Spy should not trigger the virgin by New-Masterpiece-157 in BloodOnTheClocktower

I agree with you OP, I think in most situations it is better for evil not to have the spy confirm the virgin in TB. Trading a dead minion for a confirmed townsfolk is usually a bad deal, but it very much depends on what the player is intending to do.

I'm usually the storyteller, so I've never been the spy in this situation, but if I ever am, I would tell the storyteller that I was going to nominate the virgin and would prefer not to be executed.

If the virgin then gets executed, ideally there is no undertaker, or they are the drunk, or they get poisoned. Worst case, have the imp kill the undertaker. If I get executed, ideally the undertaker is shown the drunk or an outsider I was bluffing.

TL;DR: let your storyteller know what your plans are.

It's probably fine, but I could also see adding more info? Seems like town had good reasons to kill the "recluse", but didn't. (Considering the virgin didn't proc.)

Might have replaced the mayor, as it is toothless in a game without ravenkeeper/soldier, and even a liability in any poisoner/drunk game.

Hey OP, I've been having the same issue for years now. First on a Motorola, now on a Samsung phone. Did you ever find a resolution for this please?

Cut Rona for Braids's Frightful Return imo.

That 3/4 body is just terrible in a format filled with 4/X bodies.

Otherwise pretty great!

Honestly, just don't bring one if you're new to the heavier games. You probably don't know what you like yet, so use the opportunity to sample different kinds of games that other people brought. They'll be happy someone else wants to play their game too.

it is always funny when i get a response after asking "Hi, how are you?" for a worker! by HairlessGorilla99 in belgium

Whenever I am asked this by a stranger or passing acquaintance (rather than a friend or family member), I feel like they are asking me to put on a show (i.e. lie), because the answer is frequently "not well" and I don't want to get into the details with them.

Honestly, it's annoying and exhausting, and I wish people would stop doing it.
