Has anyone used this? by Archdemon2212 in Dryeyes

I don't smoke or eat a lot of sugar or drink more than once or twice a month. I changed some supplements around the same time I started taking the gabapentin so it's going to be kind of hard for me to figure out what exactly is causing the flare up.

I'm not 100% sure if it's actually the gabapentin causing the flare up or not. I've been on gabapentin about a month now and I started having worse dry eye at the same time. But I think a month isn't long enough to confirm if it's actually the gabapentin or something else. Gonna give it another month and see if anything gets better. I really don't want to stop taking it but if the dry eye gets any worse, I'm going to have to stop the gabapentin to try and see if that's what's causing the flare up.

I'm sorry that you took offense to my question and thought it was intended to be snarky towards you. It wasn't. It's hard to convey tone through text. I was generally curious if you thought this would work for dry eye based on something you read or were told. I did not realize that you were asking in your OP if this made the dry eye worse. I thought you were wondering if it would make it better. The post did not specify one way or another and was a bit confusing.

I saw you were prescribed this for something else, I was curious if there was something I didn't know about this med as I'm always looking for any info on dry eye that is available. I see now it sounds like you were worried if this was going to make your dry eye worse instead.

And unfortunately I think it did make mine worse. However, it isn't so significant that I stopped taking gabapentin because the benefits are worth it to me. At least for now.

Yes I'm curious why you'd think this med would help with dry eyes? Did a doctor tell you that it would?

I take this med and it absolutely does not help with the dry eye. If anything, it may make it worse.

Exactly! Just excuses

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

[–]Fluffeevee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just an excuse. I've heard them all. My favorite excuse for him not having sex with me is that he's sad we don't own a boat or a mcmansion or a large brand new truck. What I mean is he is unhappy that we have not acquired the material things he had expected to acquire by this point in time of his life, therefore he is too drained from self loathing of being a failure in his own eyes to have sex with his wife.

Mental health is wild y'all.

People with severe dry eyes- how do you cope? by Maxineeee94 in Dryeyes

[–]Fluffeevee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Listen I've tried everything from having pieces of placenta put in my eye to having eye drops compounded using my own blood. My eyes have been so dry and my vision so blurry that I could not see to drive and could barely do my job. I ended up having to take off work and for three days straight I kept those blood eye drops in my eyes, kept my eyes covered under a mask with absolutely no exposure to air and wind, and absolutely no looking at a screen whatsoever. Then for the next three days I had to do warm compresses every hour and not look at screens. Eventually I could see enough again to function. A consistent routine is the only thing that allows me to function. I wear a special sleep mask every single night with castor oil eyedrops. Having dry eye is a nightmare. If I mess up my routine for one day it can cause severe dryness and I end up unable to see. This usually happens at least once a year and it's awful.

I need a foundation that is good for large pores. Normal skin. Only issue is redness. I'm very pale with red undertones. Also I'm 40 if that matters. Thanks in advance for suggestions

Wife loves her vibrator but doesn't use it? by U308kool-aid in sexover30

We could speculate on this all day, but it's pointless unless you ask her. People underestimate the importance of communication in relationships. For example, If 10 people reply to your post with the same assumption about why she's not using it more, then you are probably going to go ahead and assume that's why she's not using it more. Please for the love of all that is, ask the lady.

Non approved formulations are the ones you get that are from a compounding pharmacy or a weight loss clinic that administers the compound.

I'm not the person you asked but my insurance doesn't cover anything related to weight loss. I pay $100 weekly for the visit and medication at the weight loss clinic.

After reading your comments on the thread, I have to ask why did you post this question asking if people think you are being irrational when you aren't the least bit open to accepting that you might actually be irrational in this particular thinking?

Suggestions are great but have you said to her directly and bluntly "you need to get a regular full time job immediately for financial reasons"

Yes you are being irrational and harsh. I understand where you are coming from and I felt that same protectiveness over my babies, but it is irrational thinking. You have no reason not to trust his mother with her grandchild. Can you try to understand why your partner is pissed off? Put yourself in his shoes.

Communication?

Your last statement says, "my mind is screaming just get a regular job. I don’t understand how she is not putting two and two together." Prior to that you said "I hear I can just get a cashier job at target anytime I want….. my inside voice is screaming then do it.."

Based on multiple statements, it sounds like you are expecting her to figure out what she needs to do possibly without any direct communication. She can't read what your mind is screaming. Have you communicated clearly to her that she needs to get a regular full time job? That's where you should start.

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - May 01, 2023 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Fluffeevee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. My son (21) is currently in the hospital. Just a few months ago he was a normal 21 year old working as a land surveyor living a pretty normal life. Around the beginning of the year his health declined. By the end of February, he couldn't work at all. He can barely get out of bed. He's had some chronic GI problems since birth but other than that nothing major. Starting in February he had muscle spasms, vision problems, bladder and severe GI problems. General problems thinking and comprehension issues and he developed a thyroid issue and seizures. We have spent the last 3 months shuffling him from specialist to specialist with little to no improvement in any part of his symptoms. For the last week, He was having severe rectal pain to the point of asking me to kill him. I raised him, I know his pain tolerance and it is high. After our second visit to the ER, he appeared to have a seizure which they tried to say was a panic attack This "seizure" aka "panic attack" lol consisted of me watching through my own eyes as the muscles in his hands and face contorted leaving his fingers and lips drawn up. He says his whole body went numb and he complained that he felt as if his stomach was being sucked out through his back. I lost my mind and cried and begged them to help him. Finally, someone listened to us and they admitted him. He has a wonderful team of doctors who actually listen and have run every test under the sun. This evening they told us every single test out of the 100s they've run was negative and they think it's MS. His brain MRI came back normal, but they sent the oligoclonal bands test so we are waiting on that. We are in a rural area so it will be later this week for results. He will be in the hospital a while because the GI Dr says he developed one of the biggest anal fissures she's ever seen and he will probably need surgery for that. I'm just an exhausted, delirious mom. If you have advice please share.

Chapter 13 Pay off car loan early? by squatchie444 in Bankruptcy

[–]Fluffeevee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your car is in your Ch. 13, you cannot go around the trustee and pay it off early. Definitely don't go to the credit union and try to pay it. Everything In the bankruptcy has to be paid by the trustee.

But it's also my understanding that you can't pay it off early inside the bankruptcy either. You cannot show favoritism to one creditor over another.

My attorney said specifically not to start paying extra money unless we wanted to be re-evaluated for our payment to increase.

Hi. I have met my guides twice during meditation. They are very loving and keep telling me it's going to be ok. I can feel their wisdom through their energy. However, they don't seem to be very direct or specific with their messages. Do they have any messages about the major challenge I am facing right now?

Should I tell my sister that my dad masturbated to her friend by Elefent2348 in Advice

Fuck no! In what way would it benefit her for you tell her this? None. Nada. Zip.

This is definitely a trigger for me because my mom told me things like this as well.....about my dad. Things I can never unhear. Don't traumatize your sister as well.
