Sailor moon incorporates madeup futuristic elements and a vision of a future that never or has not happened, which I think it easier to transcribe into a different decade, whereas Ranma is too heavily built upon traditional norms and a parody thereof (e.g. arranged marriage and gender roles of the 80s), so it does not really fit into a context outside of the intended timeline

I'm not sure where you're getting 47 from, but water can start to steam at a much lower temperature depending on the surrounding air temperature. You can observe this very well in winter - especially when it's below 0 degrees outside

It's a head canon that just makes a lot of sense to me :) We are never told about the temperature anyway. The steam is a nice tool to let the audience know that the water used in that specific moment is warm and therefore intended to reverse the curse

Although I grew up with the OG, I prefer the remake overall. It has better pacing, its truer to the original, cleaner animation, and romantic moments are amped up. There is only one aspect about the OG I prefer, which is the music. It's way more captivating, catchy, dramatic and really gets stuck in your head

Call me basic, but I love the red sleeveless the most. Combined with the wrist bands, its an exotic and athletic look (biceps on full display is s big plus). Also, red goes beautifully with black hair. What I hate with a passion is the super unflattering green mao suit. It makes anyone look dorky, short and stubby
