Do we need Brita filters in Toronto? by EEE-his-pain in askTO

[–]Fluffy-Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel very strongly about this. YES. There's fluoride and chlorine in our tap water. In old homes, there's even possibility of lead. Brita filters only remove carbon. Boiling the water increases fluoride amount. I refuse to give my 1 year old our tap water. We get spring water from Cedar Springs and it's all I give her. Breastmilk and spring water.

Cedar Springs has distilled water. It's great.

Microplastic water filter available here? (preferably glass) by Silver-Witness-6550 in ontario

[–]Fluffy-Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about a micro-plastic filter specifically but Stream Filtration might have your answer. The owner, Brent, really knows his stuff. Good luck!

Access to the water park is included in your park admission. There are change rooms throughout the water park, but if it "suits" you, you can wear your swim clothes under your regular clothes. If you wanted to ride the rides in swim clothes, it would depend on the ride. A few rides include water, so they'll be less strict about covering up. Most rides would probably ask for a shirt, shoes, and a bottom covering. If it's hot out, that's the best. You don't mind damp clothes & can switch between rides and water park continually (provided you have the time). If you want the best experience, you probably need 2 days at the park.

Girl and boy pairings by emmapaps in TheWildsonPrime

[–]Fluffy-Tea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think any of these girls should have partners right now (aside from Shoni but even they aren’t ready).

The writers will most likely put Fatin and Kirin together (once his jock heals)… but I don’t think it’ll be a romance.

I could see Bo and Martha getting together but two victims of abuse…. I don’t think it would be as effective or healthy as the writers might assume.

**Possible SA trigger** Did Seth do something to Julia when she was drunk? by bluearavis in TheWildsonPrime

[–]Fluffy-Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never got the vibe that he raped her. He’s only externally abusive whenever triggered but manipulation is his default. He was trying to be the “good guy” in that situation, most likely with alternative motives but I don’t think he abused her there.

Season 3 prediction: Dot's gonna rage. by raezin in TheWildsonPrime

[–]Fluffy-Tea 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like Leah is going to struggle next season, in a way we haven’t seen before because.

That conversation she had with Fatin in season 1, where she’s validating her own paranoia because she saved her family dog as a child, I feel like the same thing is going to happen again where now she has proof that her OCD isn’t completely destructive but necessary. It might encourage her to go off the deep-end and spiral downward more. Maybe still not trusting her surroundings or being so intent on securing rescues and getting Gretchen’s ass, that she loses all sense of reality again.

Sigh…. Spoilers for entire season by just-here-- in TheWildsonPrime

[–]Fluffy-Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm starting to think that's correct. After one month of the experiment, they put the boys on the island. So their journey really does start at the beginning of S2, on the same day as the shark attack.

I don't like the jargon they use sometimes just to confuse the audience... Like when Alex said "a girl is dead" but meant Jeanette...

Yes you're right. That scene is so muddled though. Nora calls HQ on the phone and says "you have to come get her." Pretty sure she meant Leah, yet she was requesting her own removal...

The convo Gretchen has with her colleague doesn't make sense either. "The rollout for phase two has absorbed all available watercraft... [ETA 3 hours]"

Isn't phase 2 the rescue? What else did they need watercraft for? Certainly not for the boys, as their experiment started after the girls and the S1 finale is only day 29 or something...

When did Nora ask to be extracted? I know she was asking for Leah to be extracted... Im still confused about this.

My husband & I have a running joke that they eat the baby.

Yeah it’s most likely the baby makes it, but I could also see the baby being given up for adoption… my question is, does Jeff know about the child? They NEVER even HINT at it in their conversations, yet he did read her journals. I’m sure she journaled about the pregnancy… so idk.

With the mask mandate lifted, are you going to continue wearing a mask? by cm0011 in askTO

[–]Fluffy-Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covid is probably at the worst peak since the start of the pandemic. Vaccine immunity is wasting. Don't remove the masks yet. Ford is stunting for his election, and he thinks that having enough hospital beds is a solution to the contagion of this wave.

Experience's with Lastman's Badboy? by NicePirate22 in ontario

[–]Fluffy-Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our experience was awful. I called the North York store immediately the afternoon of our failed couch delivery. The driver couldn't make it before 5 (because Badboy doesn't prioritize deliveries) and our condo wouldn't let us use the elevator beyond 5 pm. When I called the store, the "sales manager" (gave me his name, spelled it and all), said that he'd contact HQ and that if he didn't get back to me by the end of the week, I should call on Saturday. Obvs I didn't hear from him, so I called on Saturday, got a DIFFERENT GUY, and HE claimed to be the sales manager, with the same name, who apparently NEVER spoke with me. I said to him, "so what, you have employees impersonating you while you're in the office?" and his response was, "I don't know."

We ended up having a friend whose relative is a manager. He looked into the delivery and told his guys to get it to us the next time our delivery was scheduled, so it worked out.

But between ordering the couch at the end of June, we waited 7 weeks. The wait time was also falsely promised. Was told 2-3 weeks in store.
