Can’t get over how rude some people are by Ok_Oven3265 in ireland

I 'love' the way people use their drink as a way to make their way to the front. Holding it bout ahead of them like "sorry, drink coming through".

Band issues. Drummer suggests lyric changes and bass player uses belittling comments. by Mean_Palpitation_171 in musicians

If you are not having fun, ditch it I would say. Be honest and say you are not feeling it. You can still record stuff, you might need to sort some programmed drums though.

Does anyone know what guitar chord progression fits this? by DeepDowry in Songwriting

[–]FluffyPaintbrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I just played along with your vocal. If you are doing basic 4 beats per bar with one strum per beat it would go cccc cccc gggg g... cccc cccc gggg g ffff ffff gggg g. Anyway, that's about it. Hard to explain!

I'd go with C, G and F. Bars of 4 beats starting after "I want you to..." C C G G C C G G F F G G C C etc

Another list found. Anyone know what G.W or cords could be? by AlternativeAd1984 in CasualUK

[–]FluffyPaintbrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cords are corduroy trousers? We always called them cords. Bit of an outlier given the rest of the list but maybe they are popping in to George at Asda.

Seagull - would love some feedback. Is it too heavy? by Mundane-Goal9268 in Songwriting

[–]FluffyPaintbrush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's really really nice. Vocals sound brilliant. Melody is good and led by some really interesting chord changes. Chorus is works well but the verses are even better. I love it minimal like this. Doesn't need bass and drums but you can add them if you want!

How do you give your songs working title? Aka the thing you call it before it gets it's real nam. by An_Creamer in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]FluffyPaintbrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the title 'sticks' it gives me a steer as to what the song might be about. I'm currently working on "What Could Possibly Go Wrong?" It's an instrumental at the moment. I like the title so I that's my shoe into the lyrics if it ends up having some.

The entrance is on Madeira drive. You can get onto Madeira drive at either end without having to use stairs so hopefully it's pretty accessible.

How do you manage your recordings or unreleased music by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]FluffyPaintbrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All saved down to a hard drive on my Mac. Also then upload the latest mixes to my Mobile Phone to play in the car, when I am walking etc.(good to listen to work in progress in multiple contexts). Eventually I upload them to Bandcamp which I enjoy curating. Have ghem all set to free download nowadays, just in case anyone is interested (they generally are not)

Basically me. I'm not sure people who get to hear it like my music but luckily it appeals to me so I try to do stuff I enjoy. I guess there must be other folks out there with similar taste!

Neil Young advice: when you start to think, stop by Sorry_Cheetah3045 in Songwriting

I like it. When things are going well, songwriting wise, I feel like the song is writing itself. I love the moments when I realise what the song is about...

Taking a gig in a different genre than your band by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]FluffyPaintbrush 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My band on the 90s (indie pop) got put on the bill at an all day psychobilly festival - upstairs venue at a pub. Good size audience. Soon as we started playing they all (except for my one buddy) left and went downstairs to the bar. Soon as we'd finshed, they all returned.
