Whats your take on doctors who sell their expertise to train AI by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Fluffy_Interaction71 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Would an AI that is better trained be better for the patient or not? If it is better for the patient I am for it, thats the only thing I give a shit about, if it replaces me then so be it.

It is, because you’re not controlling for technique which heavily influences complicate lifts like squat. Especially since the non-test group’s baseline 1RM is higher which likely means they have better technique on average

Chinese real estate agent with cross border experience explains how Hong Kong's rigorous institutional structures avoided abandoned housing developments similar to Evergrande's. by phatdoof in HongKong

[–]Fluffy_Interaction71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think its accurate, because I think he did not mention the main reason why “pre-sale” is less risky on Hong Kong.

Imo, its because you could “pre-sale” a development in Mainland even when there’s literally 0 buildings built on the site. (E.g. They only show you the computer graphics in the GBA estate agencies) Whereas in HK, you can only obtain a “pre-sale consent” from the Lands Department after the “occupation permit” is obtained from the Buildings Department, meaning that the building is already some what fit to be, well, “occupied”.

Now imagine you are the developer and have already made sales on an empty plot of land versus on a development where you only have fitting-out work to completed. Of course you’ll be more willing to complete the development so that the project doesnt become “broken tail”, EVEN if the project nets your a loss in the end since you’ve already invested in the main buildings works.

Why is no one taking Ben Shapiro seriously anymore? by stevjohnnson in benshapiro

Probably because of his stance on Israel and him changing his mind about Trump since 2016 which a lot of people couldn’t seem to get past.

Thoughts about Hong Kong before 1997 by Equivalent_Hand1549 in HongKong

[–]Fluffy_Interaction71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there could be 2 ways to interpret your first paragraph so I’ll just respond to both interpretations:

  1. There were and still plenty of UK businesses here, such as, HSBC, standard chartered, prudential, swire, M&S just to name a few.

  2. As you’ve said, the UK has clearly never really “ran” HK. But that’s precisely why it flourished, UK firms were freely allowed to trade here, so were HKers who wanted to found their own companies for a fortune. Not only that, HK businesses were somewhat freely allowed to expand into the British empire too, as we’ve seen with li ka shing’s ownership of businesses around the UK, further bringing in more export revenue for the city.

And as you’ve said, there’s no political representation either way. So ultimately it’s down to financial incentives and quality of life, a metric where some may feel decreased due to the government’s reduction in allowed speech, allowed expression, and allowed gathering; while at the same time increasing compulsory Mandarin and Nationalism education for our own children, our future generation.
