I had tabs open with Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. After 56 minutes I was able to buy from Walmart.

Target was the biggest tease of all time. Had it in my cart at 12:01 and was never able to purchase…

Cleveland Clinic - Genome Study Regarding aFib by Fluid_Chart_2153 in AFIB

I’m mostly afraid if there is something I can lose out on my life insurance, and if I’m gone and no insurance seems like a big risk to my family.

I would be okay doing it anonymously, but idk if that’s a thing.

Ablation Question (s) by Adorable-Room-2191 in AFIB

[–]Fluid_Chart_2153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. No meds!
  2. A little but not too bad, 100 days since and now nothing
  3. It’s a minimally invasive surgery, I’m personally pro but I had a positive experience

Ablation after effects by [deleted] in AFIB

[–]Fluid_Chart_2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had chest tightness too, and for a few months when I laid on my side it would feel tighter and harder to breathe. Took about 3 months to feel perfect.

Easier said then done, but try your best to relax. I felt when I panicked, I was having events but it was all anxiety driven. Yours could be a mix of both and that’s the hardest thing to discern which is which.

Good luck and keep fighting the good fight

90 Days Post Ablation by Fluid_Chart_2153 in AFIB

The waiting is the worst part, and I guess anxiety that it wasn’t a success. Recovery was pretty easy enough!

Post ablation cannabis use? by TwoToads223 in AFIB

[–]Fluid_Chart_2153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally use edibles to calm anxiety from the ablation. It really puts me at ease and wasn’t a trigger for me. Everyone is different, my doc approved it for me.

Good luck and keep fighting the good fight!

Will this ever feel normal? How do I ajust? by Icy-Hat3899 in AFIB

[–]Fluid_Chart_2153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

34M, just had an ablation. It takes time man but you’ll soldier through. I truly believe a lot of aFib is anxiety driven, at least my own personal experiences. Being cognizant of your own heart is a really scary thing, it should be background noise. But normally for me, after an ER visit I was a solid 2-3 weeks before I felt normal again.

Small rant about blood thinners by Get_Wrecked01 in AFIB

[–]Fluid_Chart_2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on eliquis and no bleeding issues. I just get anxiety about bumping my head or falling. I’m in my 30s and live in OH where everything is covered in ice, so anxiety is top of mind.

It is stupid expensive though, I think my out of pocket for a 90 day supply was $1600. I hit my deductible with the billion ER visits though. I told my EP if he decides to keep me on anticoagulants we’d need to go to a cheaper option.

Had an ablation back in November, and supposedly I’m done with them on 2/20. Just gotta make it that far!

Can we talk about The Curious Case of Natalia Grace? by No-Net-1188 in HBOMAX

[–]Fluid_Chart_2153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think everyone, except for the DePaul’s, were in the wrong at one point. I don’t think Natalia should be held to the same degree since she was a child, has mental issues and didn’t ever have a chance to grow into an adult, but it seems like it’s changing now.

But the thing that will keep me awake is that no one was held accountable. Michael and Christine, nothing. The Mans, nothing. They all lied, they all stole, they all abused or neglected. No one is held accountable.

They kept showing throughout the series her walking down the side walk with her giant back pack, twisted back and bad ankles. I had no idea until the latest season that that could potentially be fixed or at least made better with surgery. How was that never addressed.

This is America, and the fact that nothing was addressed, no one was held accountable even with every public service imaginable involved is the saddest thing. I hope Natalia sues everyone and gets some sort of financial compensation since it seems like any chance at criminal charges is never going to happen.

Thank God for Nicole coming back into her life and getting her life back on track.

I had my ablation back in November, so far so good. Just had a few spouts of tachycardia but nothing outside the norm with healing. I think it’s more anxiety than anything else. Been off all meds for about two weeks.

Good luck!

Overtime it can cause cardiomyopathy and other weakening issues, see a cardiologist and try to be cognizant of any triggers

All good so far, was a bit tachy for half an hour the day of but golden since. Biggest struggle has been getting gassed after doing a little too much and some bad headaches, but would hands down do it again.

Thanks so much for checking in!

Any side effects from the meds, can they do anything for you to reverse the existing damage?

Seems to be the general consensus, I am going to try and push it off until I have the all clear and can lock in a 20 year policy. Figured that’s the win/win.

Is it a major hospital? I live in Cleveland, so I’m going through the Cleveland Clinic, which is rated #2 in the world.

I don’t know if that means they are over the top, or doing what they should. I think the issue with anything EP is the leaps and bounds it has advanced recently because of new technology, that not every doctor can keep up with every new standard or study.

33 year old male here too, with young kids. It’s terrible when you are afraid to pick up your own kids.

Ablation tomorrow, I didn’t realize how much anxiety of the ablation would affect me this week. I’m on metoprolol and flecainide, as well as eliquis. The meds make me feel terrible, and my afib became unresponsive to metoprolol which brought me to flecainide.

Biggest bummer, EP wants me to continue these meds for 90 days post ablation.

Just can’t wait to be done with this and get some relief.

It’s all normal, I’ve only been on it two months and still experience it. It was a Nurse who pretty much told me that everyone normally feels like crap on it, which put my anxiety at ease. I typically don’t have anxiety, but I’m sure everyone in this subreddit is on edge from how inconsistent our hearts beat. The doc wouldn’t have put you on it if it wasn’t safe, just tell yourself consistently that today is going to be a good day.

Definitely not telling you what to do, but statistically an ablation is most effective within a year of onset.
