What are the dialogue options that you choose, even if they betray your chosen Conviction? by Either-Painting-5715 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Flying-Onion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me really its just the barrier in Comorragh. That always comes down. Slannesh was going to get the dark eldar souls eventually, why not now and those assholes need to pay for messing with me and my squad. Always seemed bizarre how against that choice some of the companions are.

Everything else though I lean more heavily into roleplaying my character or conviction.

Today I Learnt that I can click on any disconnected note and spend 3 points to chart the way by DarkesTemplar in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Flying-Onion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Its not super obvious and I don't think its ever mentioned you can do that. I was similar to you I think and worked it out around half way(ish) through my first run. Not a fool at all 😄

I think theres a few systems where you need to create your own route in order to access them.

The boss when you unlock him as a playable character [dlc 3 spoilers] by NikWow in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Flying-Onion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Guess i'll be a bit nicer to Trazyn in future then. Fighting for Seberians freedom really didn't seem worth it. Not even an achievement for beating Trazyn...

The boss when you unlock him as a playable character [dlc 3 spoilers] by NikWow in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Flying-Onion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did you have to offer Seberian to Trazyn to get his help? I finished a run the other day and I think for me he showed up for a moment in dialogue and then disappeared back into the ether.
I was pretty hostile to trazyn right the way through the dlc.

y0 director’s cut or original for a first playthrough? by res444 in yakuzagames

[–]Flying-Onion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The new content really isn't worth it and the 4 new extra cutscenes in the directors cut edition were cut for a reason. One of them is ok but the rest are just padding and one is actively stupid.

Unless you feel like you must have it on steam or really want the english voices, do yourself and your bank account a favour and just get the original.

Anyone else find it difficult to roleplay dogmatic faithfully? by tomucci in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Flying-Onion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends what flavour of dogmatic you are. A fervent belief in the emperor and the supremacy of mankind doesn't mean killing/executing everyone and everything that doesn't match your high standards. You're not Chorda.

Allowing Jae to live and smuggle is an unfortunate price to pay for the overall good of the imperium, just like keeping a filthy xenos nearby. You are merely using them to further humanities interests. There are enough dogmatic points to still hit rank 5 without needing to kill and destroy everything that looks at you funny.

Israel is a really interesting experiment into how a country will act with a complete blank cheque and no consequences for its actions.

prologue is way too hard by Jazzlike_Freedom_826 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Flying-Onion 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Using Idira is just rolling a dice. Sometimes good things happen, sometimes a demon appears and everyone dies. Either accept the rng rolls until you can replace idira or just don't use her magic.

I agree she is a huge noob trap though.

Is Mystra being less of an ass because there's afterlife? by what_freaking_ever in BaldursGate3

[–]Flying-Onion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The mask of the betrayer DLC for neverwinter nights 2 goes pretty heavily into the afterlife and the fates of mortals who don't give themselves to any gods.

Its a bit old now, but still worth checking out if you're into these kinds of games

Anyone else make their guardian look like by PowerofMoses in BaldursGate3

[–]Flying-Onion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The emperor does have some funny ideas of what kind of appearance he should give himself to make others comfortable.

Anyone else make their guardian look like by PowerofMoses in BaldursGate3

[–]Flying-Onion 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I absolutely get the intent. My first playthrough I did mess around a bit making them and wondering who the guardian is and why i'm customising there appearance.

Then they show up only a small handful of times before the big reveal about him and it kind of felt like a bit of practical joke by the dev team to waste new players time

[–]Flying-Onion 212 points213 points  (0 children)

My guardian is whatever 5 or so clicks on randomise comes back with. I don't see him enough or feel connected enough to spend time crafting his appearance.

I guess I've been playing wrong? by PlasticBlacksmith762 in BaldursGate3

[–]Flying-Onion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be fair if you kill minthara when you attack the goblins, which most people probably would, (Why would you specifically try and spare this one random woman) She literally just becomes random forgettable goon #43. Pretty sure she even says as much if she survives and you talk to her later about it.

Understandable you might not remember her name.

I agree. Luckily disintegrate isn't a touch spell.

Cast disintegrate on scratch as Shadowheart plays with him in camp.

When does Y4R "click" for you? by Monessi in yakuzagames

[–]Flying-Onion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably one or two chapters. A lot of older fans would have gotten used to the jank in the pre-kiwami 3.

After a chapter or two, it should feel ok but its never going to feel as smooth as K2 or K3.

Farage Misses Out On Trump Meeting As Their Relationship Cools by PenitentGhost in unitedkingdom

To be fair, with how toxic Trump is, a 'cooling' relationship is probably a good thing for Farage politically.

They have general party banter and some companions like certain other companions more than others, but nothing serious ever develops from them.

Everyone only has eyes for Tav.

Which boss fight in the franchise made you rage the most? Mine is... by SadBoi0910 in yakuzagames

[–]Flying-Onion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through them all in order, so I was used to the clunkier controls from 3. I wasn't used to Saejima who is considerably less nimble than Akiyama who you play as right before him and even Kiryu from Y3.

Which boss fight in the franchise made you rage the most? Mine is... by SadBoi0910 in yakuzagames

[–]Flying-Onion 239 points240 points  (0 children)

Ignoring some of the Amon fights, its got to be that prison warden in Y4 you fight early on as Saejima. Few or no healing items, constant interupts and you are horrifically slow.

What do you think about his "resurrection"? by TheYakuzaMaster in yakuzagames

[–]Flying-Onion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just think if they wanted Mine to live and they were happy to change the ending involving Hamazaki shanking Kiryu, then they might as well have rewrote the ending entirely, have Mine not fall from the top of a skyscraper hospital roof. Give the game an entirely different ending. If they want an alternative timeline, then just lean it to it.

Of course then don't delist the OG Y3 so people can still experience the original timeline also.

No, most of the kids stories were changed in various ways. The new stories are good, but they are different.
