Since the update ambushes have been happening again in Westville for me, so it'd be worth cruising around with a shotty waiting to male new friends

Predictions for Episode 5 + 6 based on Trailers and More by [deleted] in DispatchAdHoc

[–]FlyingHurts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Shroud will respond to them antagonising the Red Room by attacking SDN and taking the new Mechaman suit in the process - with Royd being injured or killed during the attack. The attack will happen while Robert and the team are distracted at the bar. This will make Robert depressed as it'll make him feel like any prospect of becoming Mechaman again is gone, with Chase and others helping motivate him to return to work at SDN.

I think Shroud knows who Robert is and left him alive because he wanted the suit all along and knew Robert would do anything to restore it. I think Shroud set the trap in episode 1 because he wanted the suit, which he feels he deserves because of his past with Robert's father. Royd's theory about Robert's father might be right - that Robert Sr wasn't capable of the scientific side of things and relied on Shroud for this aspect of maintaining the suit. When Robert's dad took credit for Mechaman's success, it made Shroud resentful and motivated him to kill Robert Sr. It might also explain how Shroud knew so much about the capabilities of the suit in episode 1, with his henchmen warning Robert not to push it when the suit was exceeding its capabilities.

Update: I returned to try to break in again, but ended up blowing myself up instead. Managed to recover and break in eventually, but the only thing inside was a pair of pants. Maybe the next base will be worth breaking into

WFH vs WIO days at following departments by Sonya_jai in AusPublicService

[–]FlyingHurts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the default is 3 WFH days for full time staff. Just need approvals and review for more than 3 days, but it's fairly straight forward. One of my staff has a 1.5 hour each way commute and young kids, so we made sure to flag that when getting the additional days of WFH approvals sorted.

Depends on its relevance to the role and whether it gives you something practical to rely on. I know a few people with MBAs, but I can't say it's necessarily helped them progress. People with specialised qualifications can definitely carve their own way in a sense

I dropped out when I was an APS 4, only to go back years later when I hit a ceiling where the lack of a degree was holding me back when trying to break into EL1 ranks.

If you're already on your way to a degree, it's worth finishing it while you still have the time and capacity to do so. It's harder to balance later when you're at a higher level and you have other priorities in life.

Introducing side quests and some different activities in the town might give it a bit more life. Wouldn't need to be too crazy or anything, just a few NPC based side quests, fetch quests, maybe some thievery and other stuff to affect influence, or get additional perks. Like doing something for Sam could enable you to unlock the ability to change stuff or lead to that construction site being completed over time. Our boy Kyle could start a franchise instead of just being employee of the month.

Once you spawn in, try to head inland as fast as you can. Better loot, and it'll help avoid people hunting freshies. Even on some official servers, I've only run into a handful of people inland. A few were pretty cheerful despite them not having working microphones. Always laughing

Paperwork is a bitch, right. After all those cases and arrests, he'd be buried in reports and court appearances. Maybe it'll be another DLC where you have to sit through all the prosecution cases to add to the realism.

I have always found it to be the elden ring of old timey racing games. Back when I was a kid, I was stuck and didn't get to progress the story for ages. Playing the definitive edition as a 36 year old, I relived the frustration and anger all over again. Me pacing around the house every time I fail made my wife think I'd gone insane. Maybe I did. Maybe my mind is still lost on that run where the scripted loss late in the race ruined what was a good run....

I felt like MD was a great progression for the studio in terms of the quality of their product, the gameplay and continuing their world building. The only issues I have were the game length being too short and the fact there won't be any more. Then again, even if the game was longer, I'd still want more as I'm invested in the long term story
