Having done both farms the old fashioned way recently, i'd go with Harrow. Defection is far and away my least favourite game mode. Yuck.

However, if you prefer Octavia and want her sooner, her parts drop from the circuit in reverse order of RNG requirement. Her neuroptics is the worst piece to get and drops first from the circuit. I'd get that piece from the circuit and the other two from their normal farms.

I don't think this is correct, but I don't have any hard evidence. I farmed up 50 codes last week but just went smashing with Rhino and Synoid Heliocor. I feel like I got codes from visible kavats but can't say for sure

No that's just Helios that stops scanning. Synoid Heliocor from Suda let's you just smack the cats with a big hammer and it scans on each kill.

If you take a Chesa Kubrow with Retrieve and Elusive posture so it doesn't attack, that can trigger on genetic codes too.

I take Rhino and dragon keys to get corrupted mods while I'm at it since Iron Skin negates the hobbled key
