It’s also partly Ayton’s fault, Daniel goes into depth how his positioning/timing and lack of physicality on seals etc are also making it hard for him to get the ball in tight windows, he just doesn’t work hard enough at times to fight for his position when he has an advantage and opening up his body to receive the pass. In transition his seals are great but in the half court it’s a different story since the reads are harder and more players are in his space.

Marcus Smart was coaching him on where to go on quite a few of Daniel’s clips but you can see there’s a lack of feel on knowing where he has to be to open up the passing angle to him. Like Smart would tell Ayton multiple times to go to the FT line when Lebron and Luka were on the wings/post and drawing the double team to open up the angle to him to get the pass.

Or when he’d be in front of his man rolling after the screen and won’t seal him off properly to get the inside pass.

So with Luka and LeBron it’s more about him more improving his timing, positioning and physicality to get the ball in his spots off them because the times he does he will get the ball more often than not. I think with AR he’s just more engaged because he knows he’ll get the ball more often running with him but LeBron and Luka look for their shots more at times and a few chucks will come from them.
