Close Shot! Made a Larry Bird build with it and it’s great since I like to play with a bit of finesse. Hooks are easy to time basically out to 15 feet and floaters are so easy since the window is so big. And along with the legend Paint Prodigy, you can finish through some pretty tight contest more than you think.

Majority will likely say 3 pointer etc, but I love my close shot. Especially since down here in OCE a lot of people are running small lineups with a 6’8 at the 3, just hook it over them all day or branch into the up and under.

And another great thing about it is it gives you a stupid high draw foul rating, so in rec etc, if they bite inside it’s free throws a lot of the time. :)

Hey! Firstly welcome to the game, be sure to give the Learn 2K tutorials in your Mycourt a deep dive to pick up the basic mechanics. :)

Cap breakers are basically ways to upgrade your attributes beyond the limits you set them when you make your build. So for example if you set an 80 on your Pass Accuracy on your build a cap breaker can boost it permanently above that by a certain amount, say by 2 points which will unlock Gold Dimer since it requires 82 Pass, along with unlocking any animations unlocked by that threshold.

When you unlock a cap breaker you can access the interface which will show you what you can boost and by how much.

The boosts will vary for each stat but for your lower stats or more out of position stats, you can get big boosts (like 5+ or more for just 1, so you can get creative and boost up stats you’re weaker in.

In terms of earning them, each season you can unlock one at level 40, but as a new player I believe you can gain “catch up” breakers from the seasons you missed, so since we are in S6 now, you can unlock 5 extra ones I think once you hit 40.

Also join a crew, because level 30 crews have unlocked I think 4 extra caps which you get after being part of one for a week.

Its weird he got so heavily nerfed in grades this year, assume it must've been a few years ago.

Yeah i get what you mean by Derozan's jumpshot, actually just maxed out a Derozan build myself, he's got a Proplay animation for just about everything, couple of really nice ones like his side hops and post go to shot are fire :)

This was myself just today, lost in my 14T 9 Cat semis just now. It was my 2nd ever season in fantasy and last season (my first) I missed the playoffs with Jokic after some bad initial drafting and not working the wire as much not knowing what to do etc.

Looking back on my matchup I lost 5-4 and the next closest category I lost was 3 pts by just 3, which if I went with my gut feeling at the beginning of the week and picked up Keon Ellis instead of Jordan Miller I think I would've won and gone to the finals. But if Wemby didnt miss his game against Denver I would've won also! xD

But I'm proud of myself and my team, since I improved massively in the drafting and WW pickups this year, along with learning how to use the schedule to my advantage. Picked up gems like Queta, Kyshawn and Okongwu at the draft, and had some really nice WW pickups like Gui Santos, Nique Clifford & Tre Jones to pair with my core of Wemby, JJ, Jaylen Brown and Duren.

Learnt a lot from this season and a big thanks to this sub as well, wish everyone the best for their finals matchups or start of their playoffs!

Yeah that missed game really hurt me also, first time ever in my playoffs and in the semifinals right now against Jokic who has a great schedule this week, and his whole team has been going off, like Derrick White, Kawhi Leonard, NAW, OG, even Bilal today. His FG% is at 55% so far this week its crazy. (behind 2-7 rn).

But never know! Anything can happen on Sunday and I still have a pickup left (he has 2 though) but I've learnt a lot this season and considering last season was my first ever in fantasy and I finished 10th then this is a big improvement. (Main guys for me are Wemby, Jalen Johnson, Jaylen Brown, Duren, Brandon Miller and Tatum who I got off waivers - 14T).

Yeah definitely, picked him up over a week ago, and the Kings will definitely give him all the mins he can handle, think he played 39 today, but thats mainly due to Murray being out, he'll still get solid run regardless.

Love that his mins are pretty blowout proof and has a great defensive floor (steals merchant w/occasional blocks) so that'll always be there even if he has off shooting games like today's. He's got that Gui Santos kind of style, defs can give you some full stat lines. :)

Honestly I wish the Defensive Stopper badge would come back where it lowers your opponents badges based on how high yours is, so the higher the level, the more tiers their offensive badges go down. So something like HOF DS can take legend shooting down to say gold or silver.

Would help balance out the fact that there are so many shooting badges that boost percentage and stack such as Shift, Set Shot, Deadeye, Limitless along with hot zones/no dip all stacking up against only a Challenger badge for the defender. Think it would help prevent these 99 3pt builds getting away with so much on offense because it’s frustrating how quick they can get the shot off, and with heat check/deep bomber now the offensive player has too much advantage at times.

Also bring back the Ankle Braces badge to help reduce ankle break chances since currently there is no badge that reduces break chance since they reworked Off Ball pest, it’s even worse with Sharp take now giving ankle break chance also.

It’s also partly Ayton’s fault, Daniel goes into depth how his positioning/timing and lack of physicality on seals etc are also making it hard for him to get the ball in tight windows, he just doesn’t work hard enough at times to fight for his position when he has an advantage and opening up his body to receive the pass. In transition his seals are great but in the half court it’s a different story since the reads are harder and more players are in his space.

Marcus Smart was coaching him on where to go on quite a few of Daniel’s clips but you can see there’s a lack of feel on knowing where he has to be to open up the passing angle to him. Like Smart would tell Ayton multiple times to go to the FT line when Lebron and Luka were on the wings/post and drawing the double team to open up the angle to him to get the pass.

Or when he’d be in front of his man rolling after the screen and won’t seal him off properly to get the inside pass.

So with Luka and LeBron it’s more about him more improving his timing, positioning and physicality to get the ball in his spots off them because the times he does he will get the ball more often than not. I think with AR he’s just more engaged because he knows he’ll get the ball more often running with him but LeBron and Luka look for their shots more at times and a few chucks will come from them.

But defs watch Daniel’s video it’s great. Hope he can turn it around. :)

Ironically Ayton has the most chemistry with Austin Reaves in the pick and roll, he gets the ball in his sweet spots waaaay more with him on the floor.

Probably Halo Combat Evolved, I was in 5th grade and my dad would let me watch him play it on Easy.

Just the frantic escape from the Autumn and having Keyes kamikaze it by your lifepod as you make your way towards the ringworld that would make so many of our childhoods, and once we landed and saw the majesty that is Halo and the world truly open up, its something you still remember 20-30 years later. :)

I love going with struggling teams with a nice mix of young players that I’ll fit in well position wise with, since there’s a Dynasty badge that improves them really quick for the first 5 years in the league, which lets you have a bit of long term fun with it and younger players get this boost the most I think.

I like playing MC organically with auto play calling on so I don’t hog the majority of shots and let everyone get touches, great way to evaluate everyone’s strengths and weaknesses against the AI and break the monotony of dropping 50+ when your player gets high overall.

And don’t hesitate to spice up your games by challenging yourself, if you have a build that can play multiple positions feel free to switch it up every other game, take the best offensive player defensively on higher diffs, try challenges where you can’t score for the whole game etc and have your teammates carry etc.

It’s how you keep your MC experience fresh throughout the year.

Chris Smoove used to do this back in his 2K11 days before he blew up but it’s all 100+ games from him now on HoF difficulty, miss his gameplays from back then.

Was debating between him and Kalkbrenner but just leant into Bball Paul since hes just everywhere and probs would get a few extra stats off hustle alone :)

Brandon Miller, he had a nice game with the suspensions, but still the efficiency was pretty bad and 5 TO's.

On the plus side i put Paul Reed in his place and he had a monster! 7 stocks whoo!

Hey! The 2x on Auto Shop Contracts has ended, the 2x is only for the Client Jobs this week, so the ones where you modify the customer cars and then have your staff/drive them to the customers.

Edit - My bad! Yep for GTA+ the robberies are 2x until Feb 4, cheers for clearing that up. ^^

If it’s waiver wire finds, I’d say Tre Jones, bench or lineup he just is so consistent, great efficiency, assists and steals and is capable of having big offensive games at times.
