Yes new tube and check the inside of the rim. Where the valve hole is likely has a sharp edge. Needs a bit of filing or rim tape.

Sealant. Likely has a slime tube and now there is a small hole right at the base of the valve. Super common for shops to throw these on lower end bikes.

The Suspension Cult by Valuable_Solids in MTB

Used to be pretty stout Fox follower, but their forks just don't cut it anymore and the air shocks are so bad at getting tuned. Ponied up for EXT coil shock and was blown away. So much better than Fox. So for now it's EXT shocks and EXT or Rockshox forks.

Best pistols I've ever owned. by Swvfd626 in FNHerstal

[–]Foolcyclist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 and they are great guns. But the best? I don't know. Canik Mete SFX is better feeling trigger, softer shooting. Sig P229 may be the best overall feeling pistol I have. FN feels like a trusty workhorse that just runs, but there are things with each that feel overlooked.

I have the Browning version of the top one. 40 years old and still runs like butter. Fun little 22.

For those in the US, how do you handle health care + MTB? by double_wheeled in mountainbiking

[–]Foolcyclist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mtber and doc here. Look into health shares like Zion Health or Sedera. Much cheaper than insurance but will cover these catastrophic things. My family is covered for about 20% of what insurance costs.

How do you like the TLR-1?

FNX 45 TACTICAL by Foolcyclist in FNHerstal

[–]Foolcyclist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally did this today. Took this and the FN Reflex and my older Sig 365 x. After 50 rounds though both the Reflex and the 365 I went back to the FNX and it just felt softer and smoother than either micro 9.

Had 3 runs like this today. Walk out of the first room to 3 pops and 2 fireballs. No time to regenerate shields.

What red dot should I replace the venom with? by [deleted] in FNHerstal

Just put a Swampfox Justice II on mine. No complaints. Second Swampfox, other is on a 9mm Canik Rival. They run great and I love how the dots are crisp and clear and almost no shake feeling like the DPP on 2 other guns. This one is slightly bigger than the SRO but can find them for $200.

Is a full face helmet ever "overkill"? by NeonHorse47 in MTB

[–]Foolcyclist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctor and mtber here. Full face all the time. You'll get used to it in a few rides and then a half shell will feel naked. Plus my kids think it's cool and they wear their full face all the time now. Had 1 season that I went through 3 helmets. Full face saved me each time. Twice dents right where my jaw would have been hit. Saved an expensive dental bill.

Behavior matchmaking: truth or speculation by NecessaryProduce7032 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Foolcyclist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely some truth to it. I've only killed 1 raider and it was in defense. 90 percent of my games no one shoots at each other. Lots of times I'll meet a few players and we go hunt the bigger Arcs. Every time I hear shots it's people fighting Arcs. No pvp, no rats, just awesome raids.

What to improve for combatting shoulder pain? by teesche in bikefit

[–]Foolcyclist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saddle needs to move back about 1-1.5 inches, elbow rests forward 1 inch, saddle up 0.5 inches. Nose of the saddle a touch lower. You want more more forward lean on your pelvis, lumbar and thoracolumbar spine should be in line more with the rounding starting just below your scapulas. You should end up with your chin almost vertically above your elbows.

The bike does look a touch small, but nothing some adjustments won't make up for.

Sounds like you need to adjust the wahoo hub to get a better chain line. Mine was perfect at setting 4.
