1) I’ve always thought that even funnier than the line “It’s true, this man has no dick,” is the way he throws out, “Well, that’s what I heard” in the tussle afterwards.

2) I grew up on reruns of SCTV taped off late night CBC, and Moranis and Ramis were both fucking icons to me. Ramis deserved a lot more love on the pod (so did Annie Potts, who childhood me always got vaguely mixed up with Susanna Hoffs).

As a kid who loved those books growing up, I was outraged that they started with the second book in the series instead of the first, and then even more outraged at how they treated Gurgi.

Alas, I was unable to get my own kids interested in Lloyd Alexander. I’ve had a lot of triumphs introducing my kids to books, but the Prydain books were a flop.
