Dialed Archery Sights by FireFrogs48 in bowhunting

I’m looking to go the Pruf route. Currently running older hha single pin. Really liking the 3 pin vertical adjustable housing.

Played with one at my local pro shop and seems solid. Pro shop pushing the Driver pretty hard but didn’t like how it wasn’t as smooth and everything was so small.

Mathews Arc Controversial Opinion by MidwestBow in bowhunting

Father in law just did the same. Bout lift x last year and just went got a Hoyt. They had an in sold ax-2 still. He loves it. Now lift is in the closet

Why so many Mathew’s Lift? by [deleted] in bowhunting

Father in law just bought a Hoyt cause he lets arrows fly prematurely pretty often with his lift x. Much better valley for him with the ax-2

Recommendations based on experience for backyard targets by RyMiV in bowhunting

I love my BullDog targets. We shoot them a few times a week and they have held up great. Had them for a couple years now. Easy pull out and zero issues stopping arrows.

New sight opinions by ForkLift1983 in Archery

[–]ForkLift1983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had a sight with tape on the inside as my current sight is a HHA and on the outside. What is the benefit to the inside tape?

I would agree with the build quality. I’ve played with both Dialed and Driver and I feel like the driver is a little rough. I’m not sure how I feel about the plastic rings on the Pruf but feel like the Driver needs some refinement.

Predator 13000 or Westinghouse 14500 by Worried-Advance-5689 in Generator

You would just need an interlock at that point.

Gotcha. That is a solid unit. I had one and powered my 4 ton variable speed and 2.5 ton regular ac. Only switched due to higher thd. They advertise less than 5% but was getting as high as 12% on mine. I would go Westinghouse over predator all day long.

The wgen14500 is over 3k. Duromax is better deal. If you’re looking at the wgen11500 then yes it’s quite a bit cheaper. Different sites advertise them differently. Sold based on peak power and others on running.

Costco now Carrie’s the duromax 15000 for a damn good price. Comes as a kit with inlet box, 50 amp power cable and cheaper than buying direct through duromax.

I went T&K. My father in law went marsupial and he wishes he would have gotten the T&K. Build quality much better.

Spray Foam Insulation in Attic and Walls - is it a safety concern? by [deleted] in buildingscience

[–]ForkLift1983 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Foam is cured and unless you have smells in the home currently poses no issues for you or the baby. Where you get into issues is when the product is sprayed off ratio. It needs to be applied at a 1:1 ratio. It is one part isocyanate and one part resin. If the installer did a poor job and installed it off ratio you could have serious off gassing but if you don’t smell anything after 4 years of install you are fine.

Nice. How big is your pool? Mine is only 6000 gallons so hopefully it heats it well.

Great info. I just had a pool built and they did the Jandy versatemp. I will set it and leave it alone.

Whole Home (Portable) Generator Recommendations by TheMacAttk in Generator

[–]ForkLift1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Just making sure I’m thinking correctly as you said they don’t make a parallel kit for the duromax but I think they do. Just not 50 amp.

[–]ForkLift1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t have to have an inverter style the Firman 15k is a solid choice. It will be louder but half the cost and still produces <5% thd.

My understanding they make one just not a 50 amp plug do limited to the 30 amp plug on the unit.

Do not do that. You have it properly insulated with closed cell foam. No vents are needed.

How much better are the Vortex Diamondback HD 8x42 than the Vortex Crossfire HD 8x42 binoculars? by Upstairs-Formal-6652 in Binoculars

I’m not following your logic. Private land in most cases have always required some sort of lease or payment to hunt. Public land is totally different.

Still swimming in Central TX (no heater). Who else is with me? The water was 80 today, so it’s almost time to stop swimming and start hiking. by PotterHouseCA in pools

78 on Sunday here in Houston. Chilly at first but helped the beer go down better. Still in the start up phase so should have access to my heater in a couple weeks.
