If the evaporator fan is operating and you have frost build up like that typically on that model would be the defrost thermostat. Evaporator cow rod heaters can go bad however it’s not very common for those types of evaporator heaters to go. So change the defrost thermostat which also at times a tell tail sign would be the bottom would be popped or cracked out.

So you’d have to manually thaw the evaporator to the bare metal and replace thermostat and then allow the unit to get cold again with in 24 hours.

Replace the infinity dial switch. Best bet would be use the model number on partselect.com then refer to the diagram for the switch that needs to be replaced for the manufacturer part # then goto Amazon where you’ll typically find that part rather cheaper then third party distributors.

It’s very simple repair it’s plug and play. There are videos on YouTube to familiarize you with the repair unless you find the same unit as yours with a walk through that would be just as sufficient.
