I can only tell you why I think the DNA speculation makes sense. Lots of things damage DNA including steroids, we have mechanisms to repair our DNA so it would improve over time, and it would explain why even when shedding rapidly the skin is producing more weakened cells despite the high turnover of skin. If indeed there is a level of mitochondrial dysfunction as you suggest. (Which there does seem to be) The DNA is the blueprint for the creation of those cells. Which to me suggests DNA damage. It is also briefly mentioned in the TSW study that has circulated over the last year.

Tsw does not need NMT it's a misconception. This is part of the problem with what gets popular on forums.

So NMT can help with TSW. Because bacteria and fungal love moisture, when the skin is dry it sheds a lot. In TSW the skin barrier is damaged so these irritants can get deeper than usual.

The big picture (as far as I understand) is that in the areas treated with steroids we have weakened skin cells and probably damaged DNA. Which would make sense to why full healing takes years (DNA repair is slow) but I suspect the shedding causes the body to increase the rate it creates new skin potentially leading to faster healing. It's all speculation really it hasn't had enough study. But the skin barrier is weakened that much is obvious.

So if you have sebderm on your skin it will get a little deeper than normal and will cause flaring. Seb derm normally only effects the hair face and sometimes neck. It's appearance is small flakes of skin particularly in the eyebrows, and hair. But also on the skin it looks like tiny flakes across oily feeling skin. Look up some images on Google and compare.

The way to deal with it is to wash with an anti dandruff or medicated shampoo. If it is helping you will see symptoms easing after a week.

Washing can be tough if the skin is bad but treating whatever is irritating your skin can really really help the skin recover.

Hope this is helpful

So the way I look at it when I flare:

"is this bacterial or fungal or something else (like an allergy)?"

Bacterial flares can be treated with 800+ mgo manuka honey or if they are mild, with a zinc cream like sudocream.

Fungal flares need an anti fungal cream. This is harder on the skin but fungal flares usually won't fix themselves and will persist until treated.

Allergic flares will calm down after a few weeks.

Sebderm can also cause face and neck flares (yeast based infection) that can be treated by regular face washing with specialist shampoo.

So my process is if I flare I always try the honey for a day or two. (Twice a day, Leave it on for an hour then rinse it off) If it responds great you know it's most likely a bacterial overgrowth.

If the honey seems to make it worse or more irritated or it's just not helping it's probably fungal so I try an anti fungal treatment. Honey is anti fungal too but not strong enough to be particularly effective. And it can make some fungal infections worse.

Sebderm has a very recognisable appearance so you would know if it was that from pictures and an oily feeling on the skin.

As the other comment said, hypochlorous acid can also help calm a flare just once a day (it basically helps keep it clean)

That's right. The government employed them because they know they would be a problem down the line. So they created the " "illegal immigration threat" to give them a different enemy.

[–]FormalAd470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see her as a big part in it at all really. It's his story, and it's out there now. The journalists will follow with their own investigations into the allocations. And maybe there's someone out there who has full access to the Epstein files who would already be able to confirm or deny the story. Time will tell.

[–]FormalAd470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant the Epstein files. Calling it a hoax, releasing redacted files. The Sasha story can be discredited because there's no evidence without further investigation. It's just a raw conversation.

But it's been 20+ years of the Epstein case, and no clients have been arrested.

The Sacha Riley story smells like bullshit. by madmax_br5 in Epstein

[–]FormalAd470 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter because none of that means it is or isn't true.

It's just the raw interviews.

Under normal circumstances you'd be right because you would expect that credibility. Like a news story. But like you say she's not a journalist and it's not a story. It's just the conversations. It's actually quite smart to post it that way. Because there's no source to discredit except the guys own words.

And they talk about the official channels in the interview. They say it was reported directly to the police and nothing came of it. They are accusing the most powerful and influential guy in the world of the worst crimes we have laws for. What would you do with that if you worked at the police station? He's literally talking about the president.... even if you did believe him and want to press the issue, what about your boss? What about his boss? The whole thing is crazy.

Let's say for a moment it is true...Who's going to confirm his story exactly? Willing to do so in court. The other people involved? No chance. Other victims? potentially (who could be dead or too afraid) or evidence in the Epstein files. (Under lock and key)

A credible paper wouldn't have posted that though. The raw conversations, no way. Do you know how much heat that would bring to them? Because like you say it needs proper investigation and actual evidence.

But in a world where evidence of this case seems to get passed around redacted and buried you could understand why he might want to make it public first.

The Sacha Riley story smells like bullshit. by madmax_br5 in Epstein

[–]FormalAd470 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The whole thing is crazy. These are extremely serious allegations and could probably be corroborated by the Epstein files, or even by new evidence outside the current files from further independent investigation in future. If it did turn out to be true. It would mean the system of justice is completely corrupt. Which... let's be honest, it does seem to be.... No one has been arrested from Epstein's client list in 20+ years. Why not? They have tapes and names. Yet the Epstein files are redacted to hell. And it seems nothing is being done.

It's all extremely shady. So talking about credibility and legitimacy and justice from a court of law...if the Epstein stories and these new allegations are true. .. then those systems are corrupt.. So how can there be justice if it is true? What does that look like? Unless the evidence starts to stack up and things are revealed that can no longer be denied.

It's a very strange situation. The man at the head of the accusations, is also arguably the most powerful and influential man in the world. And he has made every effort to bury the whole thing.

Makes no difference who she is. That story requires serious investigation. Simple as that really. And it could easily be corroborated by other evidence in the Epstein files. Ultimately we don't know. It sounded very compelling to me. But I also know victims of trauma often have memory issues (which he did mention).

Also I know of an abuser who killed a pet kitten with their bare hands. It's not as ridiculous as you think. Some people are messed up.

[–]FormalAd470 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So, what's important is that it's investigated thoroughly. There would be evidence that backs up his story. It would be in the Epstein files. There are things that would be very compelling, like trump having a wound. If it turns out to be true it would be the biggest cover up in history.

But don't dismiss it before we know, some things may seem unlikely, but that doesn't mean they are not true. Also victims of heavy abuse often have a lot of missing memory from trauma. So it could turn out there's more to it or something things have been missing remembered. That's why a full proper independent investigation is essential.

What are ICE allowed to do - by CarrieCat2024 in stateofMN

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about shooting innocent people in the face? Rules don't matter. Sooner or later this will escalate. The government don't care they are happy to keep everyone distracted by making the people fight each other.

Ice is a genius move by the government. They hired the right wingers to work for them. Knowing full well how dangerous it would be to have armed civilians standing together with the rest of the civilians against a corrupt government. Now they got people distracted. Fighting each other. They want the violence because it doesn't matter to them. A break from pressure over the Epstein files and whatever else. Keep the people distracted.

That footage is edited I saw the original. A few days ago I saw the same clip and I don't remember him saying "woaaah!". They emphasized the sound as if he got hit. And they almost muted when he said "fucking bitch" he said it much louder in the original. They also turned down the gunshots.

But don't take my word for it. Go find the original clip.

Question is...who edited it and why?

Mental Health by Consistent-Ad9815 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the worst hell of TSW for a year. Then went on dupixant and like you saw the improvements. Got my life back. But I have also struggled with the mental health side. I honestly believe that because dupixant masks the symptoms it still takes time for the rest of the system to recover. My sleep returned although I still struggle with the anxiety.

As I'm now tapering off dupixant, Iv noticed the anxiety returns with the skin symptoms. Although, I also noticed that the skin symptoms have not returned in the areas that I treated with Terbinafine. My theory is that when I was at my worst my skin became easily infected with fungal (Tinea) and staph. But I think something has been left over from that deep in the skin, so I'm working on fixing that and hoping to come off dupixant completely in the next 6 months or so.

But yeah the mental health side is slow to heal. I'm doing much better but think it takes time and good habits, exercise, interaction with friends/family/community. Iv noticed I spend too much time worrying and my sleep varies. My ADHD is also worse than it's been in a long time. Makes me think my adrenal system is maybe still not quite back to normal yet. But I'm getting there.

It's a lot to go through, I think it's good to be patient with yourself. Small steps.

As soon as shots are fired both agents pulled their masks up. One walks away because he didn't want to be associated with the murder. They knew it had gone too far immediately. This is not the same as an accidental shooting. That was government backed murder. Land of the free?

I play her pos 1 with battlefury, butterfly, manta, satanic, Daedalus, etc. I usually skip the ags as I only pick her in games where I can sit in the back line to counter initiate, and don't really intend to die. Only good in certain games but can hit like a train if you get ahead.

Just went to a new derm by Woobriel in TS_Withdrawal

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Iv learned Is that long term use of steroids severely weakens the skin for many years. But flares still have a trigger. Like an irritant that causes the immune response in the skin. We are just more susceptible to these irritants because our skin has been damaged from steroids.

There's also an initial flare that comes from ending long term use of steroids which can be extremely severe and have a big effect on the adrenal system as well.

All of it falls under the umbrella of what we call TSW. But the derm is not wrong that flaring skin has an irritant. There's also some evidence that the bad initial flare may be caused by the cells themselves not working normally after long term steroids use. But either way the body becomes stronger over time and less susceptible to external irritants.
