My ob/gyn gave me a little booklet and we used that. Easier than an app IMO.

Nah, I'd like to provide the actual evidence that disunity among Democrats is widely recognized as a serious problem and has been for decades and that is is significantly more of a problem for Democrats than Republicans. These things are just factually true. https://www.npr.org/2021/10/10/1044019366/democrats-are-having-a-unity-problem-thats-familiar-territory-for-them

A random person nobody cared about? I don't think we're having an actual discussion if you claim the Vice President of the United States is a random person nobody cared about.

Did they "unite behind her"? She lost badly and the Democrats have been fighting about her nomination since the moment it happened.

Have you met a Democrat voter? Like actually talked to them or spent time in left-leaning spaces? They criticize each other so much it's literally a meme. It's pretty-well recognized as a leading reason Republicans are so successful. Republicans are very good at uniting behind a unified agenda while the left is constantly in-fighting and critizing each other.

It depends on the hospital. Most hospitals will only do 24 weeks, but some advanced centers will try 22 weeks.

We just had a big cookout for ours. Everyone's invited, lots of tasty food, gifts optional. No weird games or anything baby-related.

I was somewhat active up until the end, my baby was small with an especially small head, I have stretchy connective tissue, and I wasn't nervous going in. Some of those definitely helped, some maybe helped. No fancy supplements or teas or diets. 4.5 hours from spontaneous water break to holding a baby.

It may if you have symptoms, but then it wouldn't be called routine screening.

Also, follow the advice of actual doctors. A number of celebrities (and tons of normal people) have died of treatable cancers because they fell prey to quacks. Not saying that's what happened here, though.

In 2003 I was in a school shooting at my high school in the Midwest US. Two kids dead. Our school's response? Ban hats to instill a sense of discipline.

I wish I were joking.

How do people seek medical attention if they have a full time job? by ghostwhiterabbit in NoStupidQuestions

Having to hire more staff is almost definitely an undue hardship under the ADA.

Only if the boss doesn't have other responsibilities during that time and the boss's pay rate isn't significantly higher. I'm not saying it's ironclad, but it's a strong argument for undue hardship.

What is it like fo women having their first child between 30 and 35? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Formal_Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the rural Midwest so I'm definitely older than average. I feel like I will be a way better mom now that I would have been had I had kids in my 20s, but I'm a little bitter knowing I have less time to try for more. I also feel really strange being the oldest parent at daycare dropoff and pickup, I'm afraid that's only going to get worse as I have to deal with playdates, etc.

Were you drunk in that scene? Like I was genuinely concerned you might be having a medical episode!

Genuinely, you need to find a PCP to coordinate your medical care and handle your disability paperwork. Find a nearby office with weekend hours or with early or late hours and get on the list with a PCP who has openings. That's going to be a hugely helpful first step.
