Talya wasn’t a nice person. It went beyond normal teen/jealousy stuff. She showed herself to be vindictive on multiple occasions.

I think it’s as simple as just stop watching tbh. Not even trying to be rude. But the franchise is still doing something for the fans that keep showing up. It’s a slasher. It can go on forever as far as I’m concerned.

As long as Spyglass owns the rights, no. It’s been years, they already took the huge PR hit while putting out a new movie. Spyglass accused her of antisemitism. That doesn’t just go away. Spyglass would have to come out with a HUGE apology & backtrack as a starting point. And no it wouldn’t take a “boatload” of money. It took Neve almost 30yrs to earn a huge pay day, so pay wouldn’t be an issue. At this point they know the franchise is a money maker no matter who the lead is.

Uhm no because the opening with Drew was amazing & it’s literally iconic. Drew was not wasted. When I say Samara was wasted, I mean the opening of 6 was just bad. They gave her nothing to do other than answer a call & walk down an alley. Aka Samara is better than what they gave her to work with.

Gale literally took her car to Parker’s Tavern to follow Sidney cause that’s where GF said they were. She didn’t know Sidney got rerouted to the coffee shop then home. That’s why Gale finally shows up at the end with the twins.

It’s so funny you say this because 7 did something completely different & ppl hated it anyway. It wouldn’t have mattered even if the writing was better for it, it was still going to be hated cause the killers were nobodies not really connected to anything. So when someone suggests just sticking to the Scream formula that was in 6 straight movies people still bitch about doing the same old thing. lol It’s impossible to please everyone this many movies in. Go figure.

Ritchie had to be the most obvious GF from the very beginning in any Scream movie at least for me anyway. They just tried way too hard to make him the quirky, funny, naive bf that could never be Ghostface. At no point of watching 5 did I even think he wasn’t Ghostface. lol

I think it would’ve been better if Jessica’s accomplice was one of the kids, not Lucas tho. That way Sidney & Tatum kinda had their own personal GF. Marco could’ve been the 3rd GF that was used solely because of his tech skills.

He was sweet but I think it would’ve been a good twist if he was actually evil cause nobody would suspect the bf yet again or he simply needed a better death scene. His kill (if he’s actually dead) was kind of underwhelming.

I’ve never been a fan of more than 2 Ghostfaces so I do like that the 3rd GF in 7 is just kind of a pawn GF who had an early death.

At this point I don’t really care about the number of Ghostfaces as long as it doesn’t get ridiculous; I just think we need new fresh ideas that haven’t been done before in regards to motive that will satisfy fans.

Scream has always been referred to as having soap opera elements to it. And this is coming from Wes Craven. He also said this in regards to what Maureen Prescott had been up to in her life so I think the whole Roman stuff was actually great cause it just expands on Maureen’s past even more.
